I gave up, for now imma just go fish on the ferry 'til I cap off Noble Ladies. This site rocks in general research. How to tell what's on the line. Where to skillup and exactly what to expect for messages.
http://www.finalfishing.info/Default.aspx Also get lu shang's it will help alot skilling up past say 50-60. And the gp body is awesome for lowering bite rate of items <.< I'm planning on 60 first, getting gp and the two items I want, and then finally working on lu shang's.
And here I decided to be a useless Woodworker...

Hmmm, i have to create a whole new thing on here dont i?

You just verify your character on Ramuh, and unlink your character on Bahamut So, assuming my math is correct: At my current level with my typical gear skill up gear (SAM AF), I will have about 490 DEF. This includes Cocoon, Taco, and Prot IV.

There is something seriously messed if thats all you have. I mean lets saying you get 75% from cocoon and taco last so thats 280 def -55 for protect. Thats only 225 def from just gear. Though I think taco is determined after cocoon so maybe even less. Remember my rdm easily hits 700def solo with lots of -dmg gear Rydiya said: <.< I'm planning on 60 first, getting gp and the two items I want, and then finally working on lu shang's. I'd get shoes last. +skill does next to nothing in fishing

Remember my rdm easily hits 700def solo with lots of -dmg gear Wearing Solely Samurai Artifact Armor and being level 62, it doesn't sound all that wrong to me. For equation purposes my DEF (SAM AF onry) is 243. Cocoon is +50% Taco is +25% Prot IV is +55Def Unless I need to level BLU past 8 or Blue Magic has to be a certain level, I will assume that Cocoon is always straight 50%. If this effects potency, then I need to skill up Blue Magic, and I guess level BLU to 37 ; ; Oh lol lvl 62 I guess that makes more sense. And no its straight +50%. That being said you get more def and stats out of being fully lvld and can equip a whole bunch more vit/agi not to mention resist sleep and auto regen

That being said you get more def and stats out of being fully lvld and can equip a whole bunch more vit/agi not to mention resist sleep and auto regen None of which will probably matter since I don't have an outside heal/buffer XD I really didn't want to, but I just may have to suck it up and put Parry on a backburner for a while. Also, how often would I be touched with capped and fully merited Evasion and Parry? Part of the reason I'm doing this is cause I don't like to be touched. (I was very disappointed when I capped evasion and still got hit constantly) That's highly dependent on the mob and gear really. Though parrying seems to be straight amount from the testing I've seen. I'd look that up if I were you.

(I was very disappointed when I capped evasion and still got hit constantly) Basically think of it like this: A+ GK skill=276 skill at 75=roughly 35% hit rate on merit mobs. Likewise, a THF with 276 EVA skill will evade roughly 35% of a merit mob's attacks. That being said, you will not hit (or evade) often without gear toward what you're trying to accomplish. I'm sure someone will get annoyed enough to shoot me eventually... but this brings up another question. Evasion+ vs EvasionSkill+ SH is Evasion+10... Does this add a percentage to my Evasion chance? Or is it the same as getting something that adds +10 skill (ie: Meriting)? That being said, 10 EVA is roughly 5% evade rate and 10 EVA skill is roughly 6.25% evade rate. Think you got that backwards especially since you put evasion skill as having more to evade rate later on. Also +evasion has soft caps as far as I've heard while skill doesn't Dasva said: Enternius said: From what I've been led to believe, 1 EVA Skill is approximately equal to 1.25 EVA , because it's higher up in the formula. Using the rough estimates given and whatever Evasion gear I can remember wearing... I would have had about a 56% evasion rate v. the example merit mob.
I had hoped that having an A+ evasion would make me nearly untouchable... Still, these rough estimates do explain why I was being hit more than I'd like to. |
