I think I'm not cut out for computer science and I think going to a much cheaper school for Creative Writing would be a better path for me.

Spoke to my dad some more. He wants me to try and find some career like an analyst if I do writing.

I make leave at the end of this term and take the next few months off. Maybe take some classes at community college while I try and figure my ***out.

I know a few people that have went from loving their choice jobs to hating them. Attaching a dollar-sign to your work can kill it quite easily.
I've always considered journalism or something non-fiction for a writing career a bit...not because I'd enjoy it necessarily, just because it would be something I'd be fine to grind out with...while I could write my novel on the side. Getting content for writing can be bolstered by doing a lot of things rather than just going to school for so many years and just throwing yourself into the career I think, but I've thought about it for a while. More than one way to skin a cat though.

I walked in so sure, and 18 months later...
I can't stand my major and I'm leaving it.
I feel all confused inside.

I would take the classes at least...because taking time off sucks...it makes it so hard to go back and get in the groove...
Hell yeah it's normal. You're one in a billion students who change their major every day. I've pretty much decided that with my writing chops, as much as I enjoy writing creatively and analyzing literature, I doubt I can make a stable job out of it, so I've decided to teach, instead. It's a viable option and one you could look into. You would get to work with the English language and earn a steady paycheck. I suggest taking an education class. They have a mandatory 30 hour observation that you need to do in order to pass the class. Check it out, be proactive in the classroom (I used to walk around helping students out if they had questions and even led a lesson or two) and see if it's for you. Just a thought, anyway.

I really hate how the current school system works. People expect you to go straight from high school to college and expect you to know what you want to do for the rest of your life.
In the past, this wasn't a concern, because people would go learn their trade by experience under a master or skilled professional. If they didn't like what they were doing, they'd just hop to a different profession and learn that.
The Computer Science field is especially silly because they expect you to know all sorts of programming techniques even if that's not what you'll be going into. Or they may require you to take 4 levels of Calculus that I can promise you'll never see again(a company is sure to hire a math consultant for any job that would require it unless it's a day to day process).
Although I went to college right after high school, I feel it would have been better for me to go to work in a computer field after high school first. While at college, I was lucky and managed to get an IT job to separate out college semesters. Surprisingly, none of the work I did had ANYTHING to do with what I learned in college... I fell back on the stuff that I learned about computers in high school, the stuff I experimented with by myself.
Anyway, the one semester job, one semester school really helped me out.
At a job, you get paid for the work you do. People are happy to have you help them. A lot of jobs, at the end of the day, you don't have to worry about anything related to work anymore.
At school, you have to pay for the work you do. Professors rate you based on your performance, sometimes comparatively to your peers. At the end of the day, you still have to worry about tomorrow's exam.
My suggestion is to find some type of work in your field to split up college. If you don't find yourself to enjoy the work and pay, then change majors to something that fits you better.
