Unless she had an tankless water heater, there's no power source going to the water heater (most of them are gas powered, hence the gas line that feeds into the lower 1/4 of the tank). If you are really worried about flooding, shut off the water supply line and call your land lord.

I must be ignorant of what goes on in a restaurant kitchen. A lot of places won't pay you overtime until you hit 44 hours.

40+ is over time... i typically get in the 30's these days per week, but have been pickin up slack at work for others droppin the ball lately lol hence the extra hours

over 40 per week typically, not pay period.. a lot of people get paid every 2 weeks (like myself)
