I missed the joke. You have a choice at which 2 elements you can be good at by choice of which HQ staffs to buy and where to put potency merits.

Gotcha on that. Well atm my Thunder does more dmg, but not by much. I have both HQ, but no merits into either potency. I really have no merits into BLM besides Burst and Freeze II's.
I got a looooong way to go with BLM.

I got a looooong way to go with BLM. Remember though that Burst and Freeze II are equal in base damage not taking into account mob resistance so with HQ staff you're getting the +5 INT. Thus making Freeze II mroe potent then Burst II. @Korpg, Your right about being able to really only choose two elements in which to really focus damage on, but Aero actually has alot of uses, granted it's mostly for HNM, but none the less still very useful.
