Ragnarok Sprite Killer List

Wanted: Bsphilar -- Evil Taru, for the killing of a harmless, friendly, kind-hearted Sprite! He was anon at the time of the screenshot, but was seen in Rolanberry Fields [S] at 6-June-2008, 12:26:22:42, EST (got time for Frapsed screenshot) killing a poor little Sprite! Does this fiend not know they are a "helpful monster?"

Known stats: Seen as at least a 60 WAR/DNC (used retaliate and drain samba during the fight). After defeating the poor sprite, he cheered and even remarked "w" (short for "waru," which is the Japanese equivalent of LOL, for those that do not know). On 9-June-2008 @ 11:46:52, EST, he was seen as PUP75/BLM37 in Bastok Markets (of the present). He is a rank 10 Windurstian.

As if it weren't bad enough, the 9 June update added Stygian Ash to the loot pool of defeated Pixies; an item necessary for engaging Ixion in battle.

S-E doesn't seem fond of offering alternatives to killing Pixies, it seems.

Yeah.... Someone in my linkshell that had just purchased the expansion asked why people would kill the pixies.... Before the update, we would have said, "They're cruel idiots that like killing things for stupid reasons," but now we have to grudgingly admit, "*sigh* They drop a pop item to kill a really cool notorious monster, Ixion."

Guess SE's just providing that "balance" thingy. 9_9

So thats what they added... SE wants us to do good things with the Pixies and then they do this #$%^

Seriously SE, wtf? You pretty much do whatever you can to anger your player base it seems.

I have 2 more for the list, but it happened like 3 months ago, but i would remember them if i see them again, all i remember is a taru rdm and a elvaan rdm that decided to skillup on the one wandering pixie at the Jugnur OP.

I'lll post the names if i see them again, but lately i havent done much of anything other than sitting around.

I'm sorry, but ... this is stupid, making a ***list about people who kill monsters in a game that are killable >_> sorry, kinda lame

Your opinion, killing mobs that are actually helpful is kinda lame.

It's been mentioned as well that Pixies in the past are a global spawn. (IE, if there's only a population of 100 pixies, then those 100 will be spread across the Past)

Killing one makes it harder for others to appear, to regenerate their numbers, you have to find and release them from bottles of higher level Beastmen.

A trade off maybe, but like trees, the required work to replishment is usually more then the short-term gain.

its not a pop item off pixie its a throwing item that has to hit ixion to claim it the NM it self only pops 21-24 hours

u all forget 1 thing:
for 5 years we played this game in the "present", with no pixie alive.
That's mean that they have been killed (maybe for stygian ash), so i think is something like... "natural"...

anyway when lot of ppl will have their cloak and cape, and the price will drop to 500k-1M, nobody will kill them again and there will be more released pixies then killed pixies.

(SE said that releasing enought of them we could change the past, and we can have pixies in the present too.)

Pixies must die otherwise the balance of the world would *** up ...

if u change something in the past, it will effect the future, which its our time..

so, since we don't have pixies in our time something must've killed them ...

I'm pretty sure that most LS's use RNGs to fight Ixion or to throw the ash at it. Every RNG (or most of them) in my LS has an ash, but they use unlimited shot with it so they don't lose the item and have to refarm. I'd think most RNGs do it this way, so maybe it's just random ppl killing Pixies and not so much the ppl that camp Ixion, since they prob always have an ash on them (farming a new ash every day gets old on a 21-24 hours NM).
And yes, I killed Pixies too to get my ash, but I also free'd them afterwards, so no hatin on me!

for anyone who is insulting this thread make sure you read the global effect of the fairies, killing one is a perm death and you have to release then to fix it, which i doubt anyone does. Its also kinda like training and killing all mobs in valkurm on a lvl 75 blm when there are 150 people there, you dont need to do it and it hurts other people.

well if you are like me I have killed more then my fare share of pixies but I also have released 3 maybe 4 bottled pixies and I plant to release more as soon as I can get the drop's and has any one ever seen the Sidhe ever do any thing but run around ? I still get cured by pixies all the time and even get raises by pixies when i went to release my third bottled pixie I was like well I'm going to try an even match with the Sidhe's around and they will keep me alive, I never got a cure or a raise i was dead there for 58 min before my friend came and gave me a raise maybe i need to release more bottled pixies i read a post that someone who never killed a Sidhe never got a raise by one.

Now we know why the pixies went extinct...

I want to release pixies from bottles then.

Not sure if i dreamt this but havent SE hinted that if enough of the Pixies are kept alive/released then potentially they could appear in the present...now i know id rather have a pixie floating around the dunes ready to raise me than have an Ixion cloak

The quest for releasing the pixies is here:

It increases the pixie population, Builds Pixie Amity, resets your pixie hate, and Gains influence with the Freelance Titania (Verification Needed). In theory, the more Amity build the pixies have, then they will start coming out in the future. Problem solved.
