The fact that other players are involved is only a moral issue. I'm not saying I'm ok with shitting over other players, I'm merely saying that even if you do so, it's not a crime, it's a violation in a video game.

Actually, it is a crime, since Square-Enix claims absolute ownership of all in FFXI. You may wish to acquaint yourself with theft law in California, sir.

I saw this, then I saw this little French flag next to Senkyuutai, and I loled.

I think you'll be fine Senkyuutai ^^

Quote:
1) You are obtaining proprietary Square-Enix property in a manner outside that which Square-Enix prescribes. That can be considered "theft" in the State of California.

That sounds more like it's considered theft if you downloaded a pirate copy of the game. considering you are not obtaining anything more than what SE gave you under the license to play the game. I believe windower is written via reverse engineering, not someone hacked into SE's svn repo and checked out some code and used it in there. Not sure what is stolen here...I guess i could be wrong!

He's talking about the 3/5k for NASA and other stuff of the same caliber.

maybe, but please name one (1) example of a player who had just piss-awful gear that you would hold up as a good player against all criticism

explain how that player is good in a way that does not involve his/her gear

You just gave a great reason as to why there will soon be minimum gear requirements to even play, past a certain point.

What they'll tell you is that the player would be able to get better gear if they were worth a damn.

People who think that you learn a job from 1-99, still in 2013, are the real gimps of this game.
what?

Exactly what he said, in the same vein at Senkyuutai. Basically, the idea is to RMT/burn your way to 99 in the quickest way Square-Enix will turn their back on, with no regard of actually learning anything about the game, because the game doesn't even really begin until you get to 99.

Usually I'm the troll on forums. But I feel in this instance, I need to pass the Baton to you.

You state "when people could make shittons of money out fo gimping the rest of the player base" Might I point out - Strategy guides allowing gimps without the required IQ / time / patience to see EXACTLY how to do stuff. Money right there.

And, usually when money is involved, the party putting out the guide is *gasp!* authorized by the company to do so.

Cerberus.Conagh said: »
Gaming magazines that released cheats to make money out sales, by showing people how to make games easier ERGO gimping their ability.. this is with like 100 % of all games out there in any damn country.

You (deliberately, IMODO) confuse simply money from the concept of whether the party is authorized to make it.

That basically killed my love for anime after the pirates and thieves basically blew that all to shreds.

Cerberus.Conagh said: »
If you can refute this as making money out of showing players how to get more for less, the same principle with RMT's in FFXI I would like to see your logic. Because then I might begin to understand your point.

Because RMTs are criminal thieves and have no place in this MMO, else you might want to question who actually owns all the gil, gear, etc. in the game.

I was talking the $2,500 or so that someone wanted to have dropped to them for bots like NASA. And I guess that's probably more than a month's (post-tax) salary for a lot of people.

It's the same question I ask the mega-boxers: Why spend that kind of money if you aren't going to try to make it back many-fold -- especially of the OnePercent types in this game...

There is a $75 bottle of wine in my kitchen, I don't expect to make anything back on it other than personal enjoyment.

Well I am to lazy to read through all the comments but coming from someone behind on the curve, it's rough. I haven't taken nor had a lot of time to get into Delve stuff heavily. I am now at the point where my DDs aren't good enough to go to anything nor do I have a job that is wanted otherwise. I know i could spam BRD or something up in a few days but it wouldn't be good enough either to go. Hence I need that help with KIs and such. Sadly.

And it's at that point you're being told to leave for XIV.

I wish I weren't serious about that.

The problem is that you have real mental issues.

I do not mean this in an offensive way but I mean, none of us can discuss with you at all. There is just no possible way to reach you.

Being "gimped" is one thing, that is somewhat tolerable if the players actually know what their roles, understand what they need to do, and actually capable to perform the jobs they are bringing to delve. Good capable players who understand how to play their jobs are way more valuable than the elite gears one who constantly run out of mp or mpk the alliance...

The biggest problem with NA pick up groups is people just DO NOT listen to the strategy that was outlined by the leader. DD just whacking every single mob instead of assisting one person while letting linked mob being slept. Tank who rushed in to grab all NMs, instead of letting the group clear the fodder mob then get your NMs - to avoid your healer getting smacked ASAP trying to cure your tank (and then all hell broke loose).

Gearing up with abysea cure gears are very doable with small group - and yet so many healers do not bother to spend time on this. Even the one that does can't even manage their MP properly. It should not be hard to keep a good paladin alive, especially with all the changes on curing and so many decent cure potency gears you can buy from AH. A good RDM and SCH can easily handle the cure duty.

And let's not talk about those DDs who bitched about "not getting in the buffed party" I can't do my e-peen damage....and constantly soul eater trying to kill themselves in the process. Communication seems to be missing on PUGs delve - which end up stressing everyone in the run. Then people bail, and you have to set up another run and wait for an hour. And for the love of god, everyone should level support job at the very least.... Tank, support and healer are like in short supply every single time lol. Now that PLD, RDM, and support jobs back in the spotlight, where are they hiding??
