The only exclusive X1 has atm that is worth anything is TitanFall. And its on the 360 and PC so yeah. I saw no reason to buy a X1.
To you maybe, just saying, they have a lot more ammo then people are giving them credit for.

Because they don't have anything. The biggest movers shown were MGS V, BF4, The Witcher 3, and TitanFall. Only one of those won't be on PS4. Halo 5 or whatever is something everyone knows about. Halo 6 is too. Their console is overpriced, their used game policy is inferior to the competiton, they Always Online wasn't a huge deal but its still inferior, and they dont support current gen headsets.
again, I know a few people that cursed Sunset Overdrive, and Dead Rising 3 being exclusive... and third party exclusive at that, something PS4 has nothing of. Not even counting all of 3rd party exclusives or the 10+ 1st party exclusives

Just saying, you'd be foolish to consider Xbox DoA
Can consider it bested this round though.

I think the "always online" thing is pretty HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, specially from an American company, when so many people "suffer from" bad internet in the US still...
well it's not really always online, it's a 24 hour handshake, so a split second thing. But something tells me you're going to see MS lax up the DRM quite a bit. Might get rid of the system checks and make disc DRM on a per game basis before the system comes out.

Doubtful. When EA announced their lolpartnership with MS, I'm sure they made an agreement on those things, considering that EA has been championing the used game/always online restrictions. I would expect those conditions to be permanent as long as that partnership is in place.

Finished watching the Sony stuff and, wow.

How on earth did Microsoft come at E3 with such a program when in front, Sony effortlessly destroyed them and Nintendo is most likely going to murder them even harder.

As of June 11th, 0 reason to own a Xbox One for 2 reasons:

- Games, the most important one.
- The console itself which is the worst concept ever.

I really hope Xbox One won't have any decent exclusive title, it doesn't deserve any. The titles presented so far are laughable.

Coming from someone who simply buys any console that comes out because I can and because I want to play all the games I can, Xbox One is just a 100% waste so far. Well done Microsoft, you want to get gamers back, you lost a good chunk before Nintendo even showed up.

in certain aspects oh yeah.

the whole used game/DRM issue I know is a big deal for some and 100 dollars cheaper is a huge sell for certain people. But looking past that, and just actual content for each system MS is giving Sony a fight.

it's just going to be time that will decide is the general masses care as much about DRM as the hardcore video game nerds do.

but what would stop them from only having EA games require those restrictions and no other games? Just saying, it's not far fetched. Hell steam does it, some games require constant internet connections, some just have one time DRM checks on install, others have no DRM at all.

Basicly the biggest seller for me is beeing able to buy used games easily for no extra cost.
I don't like to spend $100 or more on a brand new game.(except the very few times I get REALLY excited)
Can wait a month or two and the game might be $90 new and $30-40 used.

Its still a restriction that wouldn't be present on the PS4.

Microsoft learned a hard lesson today: after all is said and done, its the consumers, in this case the gamers, that control the gaming market. Not themselves. Not the publishers. Not the stores. The gamers. Period.

I don't see anything that M$ could realistically do to make it more appealing than PS4 before the release.

Their console is weaker, the monthly payments for premium are higher, it costs 100 dollars more, no used games, always online 24 hour mandatory check or your console turns into a brick, you never truly own any of your games or even your console, lack of JRPG's and other genres outside the US, Xbox One will be region locked while PS4 will not, and poor indie developer support while Sony welcomes them with open arms.

Microsoft played their hand and Sony saw through them completely and dealt the better hand for the players.

The only thing I see that M$ has over Sony is an earlier release date, not a huge deal when the more anticipated games aren't going to be ready for release.

The starting price alone is a good argument. 100$ is literally 2/3 games here in UK. And that's for new games, if we're talking used ones that's 4/5 already.

They went full Apple on that one.

not really, they either will or won't learn their lesson in about 6+ months.

Just because a lot of people are knee jerking on twitter doesn't mean any console maker is doomed.

Xbox is dead to me, the only game that looked even remotely interesting was Titanfall (and even then, could easily turn out to be complete crap)

The only thing i found suprising at Microsoft's E3 Announcement was their opening trailer for MGS5, but seeing as i can play that on ps4, that really does nothing for me lol.

Dead rising was a bit of a suprise, but I was never a huge fan of that Franchise anyway.

Besides, why play dead rising when you can play a better story based zombie survival game, called The Last Of Us.

I'm still ecstatic over the Versus 13 announcement tonight. I Remember i was in Highschool when that game was announced and in the works. I still remember thinking how cool it would be to play a "Final Fantasy" title that was developed by the KH team. It's been what? nearly 6~7years later. Some of my friends have kids/are married now; that's how long We've had to wait for this game >.>;

The future is pretty bleak for microsoft if they can't grasp the hardcore gamer market. because without majority of gamers behind them they basically have a overpriced 500$ apple tv on your hands....

dafuq?

tldr; Gamers Buy Consoles; Not People wanting to watch TV.

I hate to say this but you really need to open your eye's and stop being such a Microsoft Fanboy at this point. I know that might sound a bit backwards, but it's really not.

I was done with Dead rising 3 when I saw the flare. Shoot a flare, the zombies go running. Really. Ok. Every other movie/game/book has been doing it completely wrong.

Microsoft will be fine thanks to the "FPS" etc people, no other reason.

The Xbox One is literally going to be 'muhrica, sports games, TV, "FPS". There is literally nothing aimed at the players who don't have this mindset.

So of course, the average teenager will throw a tantrum to get his Xbox One because of Halo 7 and CoD 24 (still the same engine since 4th), so they will still sell a good enough amount for Microsoft to be happy.

I really wonder what will happen to fighting games. They are usually played on 360 due to the better online mode but with PS4, it might turn the tables around. I hope so.

Well yes, they should be imo:

- They sell overpriced things that aren't worth your time but they still have a huge amount of people buying it
- Their upgrades aren't "upgrades", merely sidegrades to suck more money

What Microsoft is doing with the Xbox One is downright bad, but there will always be people to buy their products because of the 360 state and the fact that the 360 players are mostly teenagers/young people who play "fast food" games. As simple as that.

I wouldn't be proud.

You do know they were running towards the flare, right?

kinda like how they dazed/distracted the zombies with fire works in that opening scene in "Land of the Dead"

Piracy didn't kill the Dreamcast. It was the lack of consumer confidence that came with them shitting out a new console every 2 years and announcing games that were eventually never released for them.

Game part, mainly.

The Dreamcast was kickass, but most of the kickass games were stuck on JP territory or cancelled. It had the same issue as the Saturn, not enough games, mainly.

It was still very successful through the Arcade market, seeing many of the Dreamcast games become classics that still live nowadays as pillars of the fighting genre, for example.
