(for added context, all one games must be completely installed to the HDD, yet you are stuck with 500GBs)

I think I'll stick primarily with PC gaming and get a PS4 for exclusives

sorry if I missed this, didnt read the whole thread

MS is doing quite a good job of hanging itself ...

Yeah I'll be aiming primarily for a PS4... this MS thing is starting to sound more like cow ***.

yeah no ... I don't even feel bad for them... they should have realized when their 360 crashed and burned with RRoD despite them 'enhancing' it ...

this just ... seems sad...

If he went through 26... he isn't taking care of them.

or he's buying preowned or refurbished from an untrusted source.

All the rest were warranty replaced with factory new or new.

I know you are smarter than to actually believe that the 50% (cant remember the exact number but it was around there) of 360s that died in the first 3 years were because 50% of people didnt know how to take care of their stuff

When did you buy yours? After awhile they started adding some kind of filament to the heat sinks and that stopped a lot of the overheating RRoD problems with most xbox's. I have one of them now and I've never had any problems with it at all.

considering I knew a person who worked for xbox support and they didn't know what the problem was when I explained to them the issue (well they said what it was, but I know they were wrong).

Considering I had the same one sent to M$ twice and it still came back *** up, no.

It's a design flaw, even my slim has the issue. Just they took the LED out.

I just said that I never had any issues with it. I'm not trying to claim that xbox has a great track record or anything.

Oh, I guess that's not so bad. That angle made it look huge. Not a fan of either of the new remotes but I can't say anything until I try one out for myself.

your implications were that it was user error, which is just far from the truth. (I've never had an xbox fail either)

I think this would have been a great event if they actually showed more games and what this thing can do.

Anyone else somewhat unimpressed with their EA sports next gen graphics? I mean it certainly does look better, but it has this wierd cartoonish feel to it lol.

at the very least we can say microsoft has found it's niche and can market to being a home multimedia device, at least it's doing better than nintendo and has found a niche for it's next gen console >.>;

I'm already not a huge fan of microsoft because i have to pay for their online service (which in the end is just as shitty as sonys) so why pay? lol.

I have this huge feeling that Sony threw Microsoft through a loop with their early release of the ps4. I don't Think Microsoft was ready for this (from the lack of gameplay demonstrations at their event)

Yeah but even if it was run in a hot or dusty environment, internal parts should not be detaching themselves from the board. That's extreme.

I've had a classroom full of hot-running PCs operating in a room with failed air-conditioning that was starting to push 90 F. The PCs were overheating and they were not working well, but they didn't start falling apart.

I'm not trying to jump on your case, but MS did have some serious design/production problems. It's not user error that was killing those 360's

It's EA Sports, they just started working on those games they showed like two weeks ago... Expect sequels to them two weeks after release.

oh I know, that's why it usually stays off, I've switched back to PC main. It's a mix between a design error and slight damage, but still it shouldn't run anywhere near that. If I keep it on a cooling pad, it runs well.

I've even tried updating the bios, and cpu and gpu drivers to see if it helped, no go. I'm supposed to be replacing it soon, but the laptop I'm getting the owner is causing me problems.
