There most certainly was a point: that those who do choose to take such a stance do have a reasonable vantage point, even if others do not feel that their exclusion is worth an arguably minimal return

I feel like i just read something Philosophical.

Delve weapons are a gigantic boost

On anything not particularly difficult I'm pretty sure you could take a 90-cap geared PS2 player with a Delve weapon and a high-tier 99 cap player with a pre-Adoulin weapon and once you throw cor+brd buffs in the mix the delve player will easily come out ahead

Sure I could take 99RME players because it makes people feel better but this doesn't change the fact that requiring my DD to have delve weaponry - which is easy enough to access and obtain in my opinion to be considered baseline - is a good decision mathematically

I honestly think he is just not able to sleep and giving us all a good troll at this point lol.

There's no way he is that ignorant or full of himself.

(though i definitely could be wrong)

edit- going to bed now, goodnight guys, I'll read this later lol.

oh wait, no i won't, this thread will probably be nuked in a couple hours lol.

He's definitely messing with everyone, that or he's worse then pchan.

Delve weapons are not required in the slightest for plasm farming. There's not enough mobs in there to keep a high end group fed. People are complaining about some idiots making them a requirement and he thinks he can rile a bunch of people up for troll points. As all the trolls have been banned from the OF they've started moving over here to cause drama.

Meh Tsuko has been around here for longer than i can recall tbh. As for delve farming, He is actually correct that you may in fact be taking improper pathing, go read some bg threads, they might blow your mind on how much they can push their points per run lol.

If people actually read my post they'd realize I was referring to the zone that 90% of the groups use, Ceizek, and that having Morimar access should be the prerequisite not Delve weapons. I've formed many plasm groups myself and the moment you mention Morimar a good 1/3rd of them say they don't have it and it becomes this long drawn out affair. I'm well aware that Morimar allows one group to roam up and down the hallways for 8K+, its still not limited by your weapons as you WILL run out of mobs in the central room and your still spending tons of time running.

He's just deliberately being a douche in an attempt to be an internet tough guy. Next I'm expecting him to say Delve weapons are a requirement for Crystal Dragon, PW, Odin II, Legion and finally Pil.

You'll run out of enemies if you path improperly. What does remaining in the central room have to do with anything?

I'm one of the people complaining about pugs(as I have to rely on them a lot due to my playtime). But as far as this thread is concerned I've been very case specific

What I meant is, of course between two strangers you'll take the one better equipped, but if you know someone who's good with a 99 r/e I don't see a point in taking the blind shot over him. If you like gambling I guess.

As some others have said probably it should be noted as condolence that most people are sucking with their delve weapons, it's always sheer irony to actually parse and see who's worth their salt.

It's nothing new it's the same sort of predicament with 95/99ragnarok(my favorite), 99 amano, brovura, etc.

a respectable and properly used REM is adequate for farming

Quite a few drks on bismarck with a bereaver were happy to be doing 2-3k resolutions with a 5/5 merit, where i've openly hit 6k.
If the shitty gear people use for melee with a mere 30% acc with such staggeringly powerful Gsword is acceptable, a properly geared drk with 70% acc using food and proper gear choices with a ragnarok is going to do so much better.

Arguing differently is the epitome of backwards thinking. Quite literally HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE.

Echoing "don't like it, make your own run". Delve has been out for more than enough time to start requiring its spoils to participate in certain groups.

And the, "people with x piece of gear can suck too" argument has never made a lick of sense. A person who sucks with a great piece of gear is better than a person who sucks with a subpar piece of gear.

you cant see if a players is good but you can see if they have delve weapons

its not the purpose to get good plays with bad weapons filtered out and keeping bad players with good weapons

its to filter out bad player with bad weapons. sadly for the reason above you also hit good player with bad weapons

peak for yourself.

Soothsayer staff rocks!!!!

And Mondaha club makes geomancer very decent. As well as blu.

The sword is OK.

Honestly I don't like the Great sword or scythe, I hope in Delve 2.0 we get ones with different stats or drop from HNM as we don't have a few weapons from them yet.

So an R/M/E or accepted equivalent is not adequate for doing Delve plasm farming? These are "bad weapons?"

At this current stage of the game, they're definitely not preferred (@99, sans a few, like drg mythic).

85-95, yea they're bad at this stage in the game

Just say you have a Delve weapon and come on whatever job you want if its geared properly. And no, that doesn't mean come on your shitty Abysseburned 99 because you'll be licking the accuracy floor faster than you can say Matamata.

People in FFXI don't actually gearcheck sets or anything before entering an instance and I've been ignoring the R/M/E only mentality as far back as Voidwatch. An 85 Verethragna does not a good MNK make or any one piece of gear in XI. Does having a Delve weapon make a difference? Hell yes, provided its backed up with gearswaps which you'll never know unless you parse every Plasm farm.

Once you're in if they have gall to boot you for not having a Delve weap then you can just stick around for 45mins and leech.

Just get black listed and never be invited back again pretty much FFXI is a small world after all.
