So wait, will these Delve NMs drop stuff from say, Dynamis, Limbus 1+2, Salvage 1+2, Nyzul Isle/Nyzul Uncharted, Einherjar, etc.? And you can even augment them? I'm kind of confused by the vagueness here, unless they specifically mean SoA only.

The thing of it is you gotta get good augments though. Lets say you split the 25-30 mil to enter atm with 3 people and how many times until your weapon drops? Now once you get a weapon your going to need gastly stones +2 for decant augments iirc. How many runs costing you 10m+ will it take to get the weapon and the stones to get the correct augments? Atm this is extemly expensive for a "chance" at a weapon close to or equal to a relic or mythic. If you got that type of Gil to gambel with then you most likely already have the weapons that your trying to replace. It just seems a bit pointless at the current price IMO. But if u wanna burn the Gil more power to you.

God I hope so, the cost reward ratio is just pointless atm.

but aren't some of those weapons better than mythics (like smn staff), or relics (like dagger, Gsword)? I would say that's a pretty sick cost:reward ratio considering the alternatives.

It just seems an awful lot like paying one million gil for a petrified log to me.

If you beat BOth goals, You're guarunteed at least 2 Weapons, at least from what i saw, everyones who's completed both objectives has gotten 2 weapons or more. And they're divided between Rala and Cirdas, So you have like, a 1 in 6 chance to get the weapon you want.

That, and your rewards are spelled out for you as you're progressing. It'll say

"Your participation has earned you
(Item) x1
(item) x1"

so on. and a good bit of the consolation prizes are decent, Midrium Ingots, so forth. Though you will see crappy Gems too.

I attempted one run with a pretty solid group, we were just a tad unprepared, and could have easily won if not for me. The event is not super hard, its going to require luck in some way or another because the zone is effin huge.

Still, On Asura, I can buy a popset for the ballpark of... 9~10mil if I'm patient, While I'm farming too, thats like, a Fraction of a % of Mythic Weapon, I'd say thats pretty d*mn cheap considering things like the SMN staff that comes from this XD.

As far as "Buying" The pieces with the Onyx Shards... Well, Its ike 3k per Piece, and you're going to get like 200 per run, so every.. idk.. 100 runs or so you do normally, You can afford to do another through Onyx Shards :D

Do you get more shards as you complete both goals or do the higher tiers though?

Edit: I misread Karbuncle's post. Sorry, I'm tired.

Sorry to say, but this is an incorrect assumption. You're right in the sense that if you complete both goals, you're guaranteed 2 weapons. However, those two weapons are the ones that show up in the loot pool for the WHOLE party. 2 weapons divided amongst 6 people doesn't equate to such high odds in attaining the weapon you hoped for.

Your individual chest will have scrolls, synthesis items, and a ghastly stone (from what I've seen). When it gives you the message:

"Your participation has earned you
(Item) x1
(item) x1"

These are the items that will appear in the loot pool when you clear.

I'd say right now about it's fine if you're farming it, but i'd rather sell to finish my 95 trial or work on that mythic. It's great because the weapons are better now but not so great because REM holders are holding their breath waiting for their weapons to be be given a way to be upgraded again.

It's a catch 22 however you look at it at the very least I'd store the money unless you really have nothing else to use it on. I also know that if/when I did get a weapon like the smn staff with augments that it would be awesome but nothing really changes in my playstyle or what I do and I spent 10mil on it at the very least. I better be freaking happy instead of investing it elsewhere.

well, 1/6 Odds of loading the item, and Generally i assumed you wouldn't go with a Pick up group, and You'd have a pretty solid understanding with your FRANZ to have it to where everyone picks one and BOOM, chances there.

On that note, I'm sorry i didn't specify "Get the Weapon you want" meant "THERE IT IS", not "In your inventory". Also kinda thought it was common knowledge that Weapons share a loot pool and your personal chests contains the Augmenting stones and some random stuff/Synth/scrolls/etc. Which i admit is an error in assumption.

As far as the loot chest go, Its a Personal Chest for everyone, spawns underneath you when you use your "Key" you get from Clearing Objective one. This also adds 5 minute to your timer in the zone so you can sort out the Weapons :D

However, the other 5 of us each got a stone. NQ or +1

Spending millions of gil on baseline-level expansion content has always been dumb.

But given they rival r/e/m I would say it's money well spent or farming time well spent if you get lucky.

Isn't SE considering beefing up r/e/m to be better than the drops from SoA? Maybe that's just a pipedream of mine.

They said your 99 r/e/m "wouldn't go to waste", but in the same breathe said no more magian trials for r/e/m so who knows what they are doing.

Split among 6 it's not bad but I see the gil point everybody is making. 2M for a potential drop that's better than a 300m+ mythic is fine by me though in moderation. And I'm a broke *** player lol

The main problem is prices haven't stabilized on my server yet. Everyones still trying to peddle 15M rank I headpieces.

Considering that headpieces are the most important parts of statues, you could go cheap on the feet and determine how much risk you want to incur with your body choice.

Yeah instead we'll have to collect 10 sacred unicorn droppings and turn them into the Hagian Moogle sitting near the palace. I'm expecting them to keep the same fetch quest mentality, it's just much easier to code that way. Would be glad to be wrong though.

SE should have been psychiatrists with how vague their responses are.

Thanks for the info none the less.

Note: I deleted earlier response because I hit the wrong "quote" and it just looked out of place for the context of my response. I blame fat fingers.

I'd love to see this, but id bet my paycheck that its gonna be all from the new content

Although, I cant imagine it would be hard to add all sorts of items to loot pools

My best guess is that Delve will drop everything -- which gives them a simplified place for RUN and GEO AF/Relic/Empy to come from.
