I have seen alot of screenshots with little timers by status buffs, and I was wondering how people got those

Sent PM before Luigata or whatever his name is comes in and Q_Qs
They have screenshots covered in timers because they fail to include 'Hide' in the bind for their screenshot button
Other than making some console and high moraled pc users rage, it soils a lot of screenshots. im on 360 i whant these timers ,, and i whant the time in my log .. will never get it need to make it up with skill i guess lol

So.. Hikuzo said: where is this "hide" option? im tired of cutting with MS paint hahahaha Look for "bind sysrq screenshot png" in your init.txt file, and add "hide" onto the end. Your new line will look like: "bind sysrq screenshot png hide" Cerberus.Daskinnybear

the little timers you see are from windower and are quite usefull yet sometimes annoying....

Surprised it's not like that as default. Wrong forum for this though. Karusan said: Hitetsu said: Look for "bind sysrq screenshot png" in your init.txt file, and add "hide" onto the end. Well if users would RTFM before starting to use something, maybe they'd find out that a such option existed. Just need to check command list on windower website to find it, and it's at the very top of the page :/ For most people this ability was introduced -after- they started using it so even if they did RTFM before they started, chances are they wouldn't know.
And I don't mean updated versions because that doesn't count. Edit: I just mean you might read a DVD player manual once but when you get a new DVD player you're not gonna read the manual again. Some people will but most won't. Also, for a lot of people it's "when all else fails: RTFM." Most people with half a brain don't need to read the manual in detail to get something to work, so they don't since it's a waste of time. Sure we miss out on things like the hide option, but meh, think of all the time I've saved in my life by not reading manuals <_<

Besides, most computer related help is a *** joke and/or useless. Can someone PM me a legit website for windowers
im sick and tired of having 5 slots for swapping gear its insane how I need 3 macros just for Charm+ gear, TP gear and rest of my charm gear...then my axes for bst it pisses me off.... anyways {Help me out!} i'd love having a parser too ^.^ LOL

And I don't mean updated versions because that doesn't count.. Even worse, when you update a software (especially something like windower), you're supposed to inform yourself by reading the damn changelog, knowing what's changed, what's been fixed and more importantly what are known issues in the version you're about to download/install/use. Otherwise it just makes no sense to update something. Using latest software just because it's the "latest" is stupid. Sometime new version create more problems than they fix (especially with certains plugins). Sorry I missed this reply so doing it now.
People don't always upgrade, they might have installed on a new PC/format/install and just got the latest version. People trust the website they are downloading from. People don't care about the changes as long as it does the basics of what they want it to do. People don't read something they are familiar with until they encounter a problem. People don't learn by reading they learn by trial and error. People only want it to window FFXI and don't care about plugins. There are heaps of reasons why people don't read update logs and you are under no obligation to do so. However, you are taking on any risks associated with the software and people understand that. Most people just don't care. It's not stupid, they just feel that they have better things to do. Stop being such an elitist. |
