Considering the recast on Embolden you would hardly find a use for it other than Protect or Shell, and about the above question, mdt is so easy to cap, Embolden is mostly better spent on Protect.

I use it on Shellra V in foret because it allows you to be near capped on MDT in full TP gear and magic damage seems to be what is killing everyone these days. If I'm in lowman / solo stuff then I use it on Protect for the same reason. Another interesting use is if you have a SCH you can time it with their extended haste. Pretty useful right before a boss or other big fight.

A Great Sword to strive for? Absolutely, should be better than Crobaci +1. I just upgraded from Crobaci+1 to Kaquljaan and wanted to ask, if it is worth to try to keep a 5-hit build? Or is it not important for RUN with all the DA/TA/QA (Thaumas coat, Epona's ring, Windbuffet belt)?
Since Senbaak nagan has the same delay than Kaquljaan this question might not only concern my cheap ***. With Crobaci+1 I only needed Hagneia stone, Asperity necklace, the DA set earrings, Rajas ring and Iuitl tights to keep a 5-hit with Resolution. Now I need 5 sTP more and I don't know what to sacrifice. Tactical mantle is a great loss of Attack, but worth it? That delve boss ring is out of reach at the moment, but better in this case than Epona's? Goading belt better than Windbuffet? If going with Goading belt, anything worth to replace 5% Haste at another slot? Thanks for any reply! Siren.Kyte

Is the acc bonus for Swordplay quantified? I'm surprised there's no info on bgwiki or anywhere.

Can spam worms turn now for Dosis Tathlum (the +magic dmg piece). Magic Damage affects Lunge, right?
Last I had heard, it did affect it. I can't confirm firsthand right now.
Interesting to see RUN on the Eminent GA, I'm debating on grabbing it and skilling up. Has anyone tried the new GA yet? I'm interested in seeing some Upheaval numbers.
Ruinator is awesome for when your attack isn't being capped. RUN's problem was that it had really crappy weapon selection but now with an iLevel 117 axe / sword combo it could be something to look into. Also swaps to convert into a Req setup.

i did use it on AA hume. Seemed i parsed 11% with 65ish acc.
didnt get hit much, probable cos of my acc and wiffing much lol but the final 2 %went down fast with me casting all the protection i could, in that moment we didnt get damaged at all lol. hope my ls will let me use run more cos its fun. I did tho made a more acc set for my run, mostly full rank 15(A) manibozho gear, to get my acc as high as possible. Need to test it out tho. On a side note, was trying out sword/axe on run/nin and it does pretty well to. Guess time to get the requscat ws and maybe ruinator to for more fun :) Offline

Ruinator is a beast for sure. I see the new changes a new lunge type ability called swipe and healing from runes but no direct help to pdt should be interesting....
The rune fencer ability Rune Enchantment will be adjusted. Runes will no longer be nullified by the effects of Dispel. In addition, the recast time and enmity generated from harboring runes will be halved. * This adjustment will occur in light of the need to quickly change runes due to the implementation of the above new abilities. They mentioned that the reasoning behind giving us natural acc bonus is in itself a buff to the gear because we can wear more defensive stats over acc related ones.

Seeing as DRG and DNC get their first Acc bonus at 30 and they get 3 bonuses at 30/50/76, gonna presume RUN will only get 2 bonuses. So does 22 acc really make/break anything? Well I don't think so but I guess it does somewhat.
Anyone bothered by the name of the Lunge-1? Swipe just sounds like a generic low level mob TP move. I bet it will be a low level Effusion (since there aren't really any before Lunge, so maybe @ level 10). Probably have a smaller recast since it only consumes one rune, so maybe @30-60 seconds? Has anyone tried to spreadsheet RUN/NIN? Best DPS I can get using Eminent Axe with Anahera Sword offhand is 861 with superbuffs. This is a fair bit crappier than I expected (I was hoping for at least 1000). I'm curious if any of you managed to get higher DPS and/or if possibly there are some spreadsheet bugs in the RUN/NIN+Ruinator calculations.

I think the Dev's are a little misguided in that approach, many jobs are used almost exclusively as a sub and many of their defining traits are locked out or nerfed for subjob. |
