Ah good to know that elemental resistance helps. Thx for the set as well. Have a Status resist set but it doesnt cap PDT/MDT yet I think...but I have most of the stuff you use here so shouldnt be too much work for me.
So what did you guys do with your +3 upgrade order? I got the body first as I think we can all agree it's the best piece there, but where 2nd? Each piece seems to have some usage, but none for really major situations. I was thinking hands since it has more Meva and it beats Kurys in every stat...except enmity. Think it's still leading for me, though.
Legs, more status resist for PDT/status set, also gives more PDT so you can sub out another slot too.
hands to offer the gambit increase, though, which is nice. Siren.Kyte

I did the legs first- and after some internal debate, will probably do the boots next.

Legs and body, the resists are real.

If you think the body will result in more resists than the boots, then you're on drugs.

I do think that, unless you're the only person who knows how much resistance pflug gives...please share.

Pflug is a direct resist, whereas meva factors into macc comparisons. There may be some situations where the meva is as good or slightly better, but 1) it's hard to fit the body into a good DT-resist set or DD set (the boots are just a macro piece so zero issue there) and 2) some statuses tend to be more accurate, meaning direct resist is far more reliable. I'll grant you that the body does have good +HP, though.

So ignis x3 Pflug with AF+3 boots would be...70% para/bind resist? Or maybe 60% if Pflug+ works like Cardinal Chant and it's +25% per point. Ragnarok.Martel

I really have no idea how you came up with those numbers using what I just posted.
10% base per rune. If maxed merits, 15%. Assuming +1 on boots = +1 resist per rune, then +3 boots would bring it to 19% per rune. 3 runes = 57% resist. I do not atm the moment see any reason to assume the Pflug enhancement works like cardinal chant. If it did though, and +1 = 25% of current base then... +4 would equal 100%, so 15*2=30 * 3 runes = 90%. I really, really doubt that's the case. Wanna go over how your getting your numbers? Which path did you guys go on your Carmine Legs +1 and why? Thanks
Path D - lots of accuracy and Dual Wield flexibility for COR/BLU in high accuracy sets.
If you're torn between which path to use, you can always buy another pair of Voodoo Cuisses. They're less than 10M on my server.
Carmine Cuisses +1 are one of the pieces I'm considering getting 2 pairs of. Sometimes I want that DW, sometimes I don't.
Edit: Wow, they're only 5m here. Definitely just gonna buy a second pair, lol. Fenrir.Snaps said: » If you're torn between which path to use I guess the DW path opens up some nice options for TPing while DWing swords, but I haven't been doing that in ages X.x Only time I found swords appealing is doing Omen objectives since GS SC properties blow.
both B and D offer a lot of accuracy in that slot, especially if you are pairing with Mask +1 and/or Greaves +1. when using 2 pieces it's an extra 20 Accuracy, 30 for 3. if you're going to be swinging a Lionheart at T4s, they're going to come in handy. if you primarily tank and nothing else, then you don't even need to augment them period because you're probably just using them for movement speed or possibly spellcasting.
On very weak stuff it's fun to DW Firangi/Reikiko and spam those Savage Blades, but yeah, long time since I last did that.
But since I don't really find the other paths appealing and my only 2 carmine jobs are RDM and RUN, guess I'll go with DW path for that rare time when I want to DW, and use those + Suppa to cap DW with /NIN I don't really dual wield on RUN so I went path A for HP/INT in my kiting/interrupt builds. (My interrupt build was in desperate need of some HP until I did a few things like this.)
Haven't played in over a year and starting that 'return' to ff11 itch that everyone gets. How does a geared RUN fare against other dps classes when played as a dps class with the Lionheart?
Extremely well. Lionheart is a phenomenal weapon and arguably the absolute best for Resolution. RUN also does not lack at all for strong Resolution gear, either. STR/TA Herculean pieces work wonders, and coupled with Temper, you'll see some excellent numbers. The only drawback for RUN is their low native attack and Reso's attack penalty, so you'll only see that amazing DD potential when coupled with high amounts of buffs. But in any situation in which you are capping attack, RUN with Lionheart is an absolute monster and more than capable of competing with or flat out beating any other DD.
DD RUN is one of my new favorite roles to fill. 95% of the time I'm in a hybrid set due to the need of me to also tank as well as DD, but I still beat our BLUs and keep up with our THFs (no one in my LS plays WAR and our only DRKs have quit) provided I'm getting buffed enough to cap ratio on my target.
RUN also has the advantage of building higher resistance than other DDs to ailments that would otherwise hinder DPS such as Stun and Amnesia. What do your hybrid sets look like? I'm finishing of 2100 RUN atm, haven't planned out too many sets yet.
I'm normally wearing this. Hands have DT-5%, Acc8, Att8 from a DM aug. Thinking of changing Ahosi to Herc, but haven't gotten around to making a pair of DT/Acc feet yet.
ItemSet 350417 RUN can rock some pretty sick hybrid setups, depending on needs and available options. I have two 5hit /SAM builds in my profie that work with Epeolatry, one with Ashera Harness and one without. Plenty of ways to branch out from there, build for Lionheart, forego the 5hit for a bit of extra HP, etc.
I'd link sets but I'm stuck on mobile right now. Home net is out for a while due to a recent storm. Offline

Did spreadsheet a while ago, this is the highest Dps set with pdt- 50% (and capped mdt with shell V) that I can find without considering Ashera Harness. Haven't check sets with harness. ItemSet 350306 QA+3 augment on herc feet/hands, head has pdt- 4% augment (D). Since +2 has 1 more pdt- now feel free to use NQ ring/ammo. Not sure if I'm missing other swaps to push dps higher without sacrificing pdt-. Epeo III probably need a different set since AM3 favors stp. Oh damn I didn't even see D path of Adhemar bonnet, that makes me want to put it together for my THF's HP/hybrid set.
ItemSet 350420
This is what I use for hybrid. It's ~3% short of capped, but offers a decent chunk of acc. Sylph.Ice said: » ItemSet 350420 This is what I use for hybrid. It's ~3% short of capped, but offers a decent chunk of acc. This is probably closer to how I'd do a hybrid set. I wouldn't even try to absolutely max DT, the goal, to me, is a few swaps to DT over max DPS. Ambuskadi set gets used heavily in my hybrid set, and the +2 is only going to help it. |
