I wouldn't know. I haven't done NNI because 1) when I came back to the game a few months ago, none of my friends were there anymore. I had to build a new friend-base, and 2) every NNI shout I see is "5/6 SCH 450+ enhancing". Since I don't want to spend time on SCH, I guess I'm out of luck at this point, until I get people on that I can go with on a regular basis. Not really all that concerned with it.

You can think I'm a "tard" or stupid, it doesn't really bother me. I didn't abyssea-burn THF to wear Fajin Boots. I was 75 THF back in 2004. I guess, had I not left for a year and a half, I would have better up-to-date gear (Thaumas, more R/E/M, a static group of people to do end-game and events), but the time to do it is another matter... I'm in a damn good social LS, and just recently joined a dyna shell to finish my Mandau. I think it's just that I put in too many years of grinding out mandatory LS events that I just don't want that time constraint anymore.

I obviously should have put the "/sarcasm" part at the end, as pointed out by Lynxblade. Sorry to have wasted your important break time from math class with my stupid post. no /sarcasm there.

People that know me on this game (obviously Murex doesn't, even on the same server) know that I'm pretty knowledgeable on most things, am always willing to help where I can, and am really easy to get along with. If that makes me stupid or a tard, so be it, I guess.

It may not be, but if this is the "out of the gate" new gear, it doesn't bode well for the weapon down the road.

**Joined a dyna shell that does Xarc / ADL runs. They didn't help me with my relic, except for the 5x Quiebitiel trial, when a few of them helped me out on that. I had the currency done before that point, on my own, or with a friend farming Valkurm a lot.

btw im a dad. worked full time until recently. but yet you think i have no life outside the game because i get more done in shorter time ?

i always love it when ppl use "get a life" as a excuse for beeing... well bad in getting stuff done.

I don't think that at all. GJ on what you have in the time you've had it. The "get a life" part was not in reference to the game, or achievements in it, at all, or reflecting that "you have no life because you play FFXI". It's for "get a life instead of going around blasting people on a public forum". I'm a dad, too, of 4. I work 50+hrs/wk. I've had to adopt a more lax playing style because of life changes. It's not that I am lacking in skill or have a better/more life.

I wanted Mandau YEARS ago, but didn't have time to spend farming/crafting/whatever else I could do to have it done in a matter of months. It sat in "stage 3 done" form for about 7 years while I worked through other crap.

I get blasted on here by people who really don't care at all whether or not I was being sarcastic, but rather just like ripping people apart.

I find it even more silly that some of it is from people who didn't even play FFXI prior to Abyssea and the burn-it style of leveling that is what we know it to be now. Not saying the people on this particular thread are bad players or don't know anything. But there are plenty of those out there in the FFXI world who have burned their job 30 to 99 with no skills remotely capped, and going around thinking they're "elite veterans" at the jobs.

Cause you know spending months in 6man parties doing the same repetitive tasks totally made you a better player and got you ready for endgame
