Adoulin Expansion Update *Everything you need to know is HERE*
 Taken from my computer, my install is typical. I had 3400 files to download, someone else claimed 3800, so I'm assuming I wasn't missing anything. These files were all edited today, and the total matches the amount I have already downloaded. If the update is 250 MB, why is POL giving everyone 1.5GB? My personal guess is that Adoulin wasn't ready, so they threw some garbage on the disk and put the bulk of the expansion in the DL. I have 3801 files to download. I can confirm the 3801 files.

My BG download just completed.
Unpacked size: 1,839,453,738 Total Files: 3684 I'm not SE, I'm just saying that POL fed me 1.5GB of ***and seems to be doing so for everyone else. A 250 MB update file appeared. If nobody has confirmed that it's for people with the expansion, then some skepticism is well-placed.
Been in game for over an hour. I have no idea when Adoulin becomes accessible. Can't find any info on how to start the quest or what time you can start... So all of you that can't get on aren't missing anything...
When I got on there were only 25 on the server, now theres 33... people must be having a heck of a time... BG is now having some problems because of how many people tried to download simultaneously.

If SE stated the download is 200mb, and you're getting 1.5gigs doesn't that just mean that the pol downloads compressed files and uncompresses them? I mean they posted those update figures after releasing the disc. You're not really downloading 5x as you need to. Also, I may be wrong, but I think they even mentioned compression on the playonline update news when they changed it. It used to download everything compressed, then uncompressed them, but due to hdd restraints on ps2 they altered it to uncompress one file at a time as it downloads? That is extremely weird. I (Akada) haven't downloaded the new expansion yet, and it says I have 3493 files to d/l. My husband (Niomi) downloaded the expansion and POL is saying that he has 3707 files to d/l. o.o I would think if he downloaded the expansion already, he'd have less.
That does make more sense, I guess I just overestimated download speed. It took 6 hours uninterrupted to get the files for me.

Well, my BG download just crashed at around 83GB. Guess I will leave the POL update alone and go out and take some pictures.

However SE stated that the expansion is not live yet. So you can get in, but you can't go to adoulin or do anything adoulin until they 'flip the switch' on. Edit: Beaten

Starting NPC Darcia, Lower Jeuno
Description Not all tests are tests of steel. In order to get permission to visit Adoulin, you must record data located in a certain part of the Middle Lands. The Adventurer's Mutual Aid Network will provide your reward. looks to be the npc to quest for getting there (when it gets actually added that is) Someone needs to get a torrent going of that file.
