March 27, 2013 Version Update
If you downloaded the files from that mega whatever thing - do not do the file check. If you go through file check it is near as bad as doing the update from the start. Once you have gotten the files into the folders log in and go through the screens as if you would be updating normally instead. After it checks all your files through that version the download should be under 10 minutes. do NOT do file check!
So when does SoA actually go live >.>?
In other news...Does anyone know a confirmed date/time when we can actually explore the Adoulin content? The quest starter in Lower Jeuno, as well as the map guy for the content, is unwilling to give out quests/maps at the moment.
By far, the longest update I've ever ever ever seen.

Unless there is more quests in Jeuno to start the questline or only a certain amount of people can do it at the same time...It isn't.

If we all dl from link on bg/guildwork and manually update it we'll all be online faster!
I get online, /sea all, only 110 ppl online, and according to the server message the content is not alive and an annoucement will be made when it activates.
so... I should still get the expansion from amazon? I haven't done that yet, I'm not as prepared as most of you lol

SoA isnt live yet, so thats prob why you cant do the quest to get there
Ok some news: Geo gets up to T4 black magic
no gas or elemental dots
they get aspir II
no white magic it seems, not a single cure
so if you want to have healing magic do anything on geo you probably should sub sch. I doubt geo will get any native healing magic skill

I do not have the expansion installed, I noticed I didn't have any music in the starting up menu in FFXI. Any ideas why?

Trying to figure out what got borked, it's prolly a borked music file. As in corrupted..I may need to update my brother's pc and copy that over.

simplest fix is probably just to install the expac before unzipping the rar, then whenever you register it you're good to go

Uh..I had installed the expansion yesterday from Amazon! so what's the big deal? My problem may be a little different, I'm thinking about applying the unofficial patch to my brother's pc and seeing if he has title music. And then stealing his music folders..I know file check won't catch this. I've had music issues before and only a full reinstall fixed it.
Hello, I just finished the update, I get myself to the FFXI Online Screen, hit play and get through all that. It checks the POL version and then acts as if it is about to fullscreen, but instead takes me right back to the FFXI Online Screen where the play button is.
Anyone have a solution to this problem, or at least an explanation as to why this is happening?

Actually all geomancer spells have been unlocked on bgwiki if you go show job abilities and spells. Same for rune. But I did not see t3-4. Maybe that's because their is no knowing what lvl they will be.
But they do get blizardga as a sub. Sch should like that due to hailstorm.
