iiPunch - Monk Guide
Spent weeks in Boyhada Tree & Den of Rancor, don't miss that at all.
pchan said: » Nope, if you want to kill tojil with 5 NMs you probably only need to add 2 MNK and 1 whm or 2 MNK and 1 SCH. The key to victory is stun, sadly. Delve is hard content guys. and win in 1 hour? You don't know how COR GEO and DRG or WAR works don't you? I like the part where he sarcastically comments delve content is hard, yet has 0 wins while the rest of us are more or less capped out.

Him and Mdk both have oats already from pugs, Mdk joined one i was in the other night. That's all fine and dandy, but the fact of the matter is the stuff he's spouting. Gear means absolutely nothing if you're unable to be a competent player. COR/BRD/GEO are essential, not only for haste/attack buffs, but also to sleep an NM should something go wrong. To call them useless is absurd, and I'd boot Pchan out of my Delve run if he spouted that nonsense. I like the part where folks *** about Pchan posting, then specifically do things to incite Pchan to post more.
Anywho, with the R/E/M updates coming, that's all fine and dandy, but will the new delve content be of any interest or will be stuck in Tojii forum parse/gear/group discussions forever?! Does anyone actually go to foret or ceizak delve? Me, Dramatica, Tulia, and several others beat Muyingwa last night, I managed to wipe off 1/4 of his hp using hundred fists+impetus+berserk, and he was dead in 6 minutes.
Delve really is easy at the moment, people just do morimar because it takes less strict job requirements and is more rewarding.

I don't know but they surely think DRK or another two handers cannot beat MNK on Tojil but : Dmg: Detzu 308853(23.6%), R. 273165(20.9%), D. 215041(16.4%), G. 176245(13.5%), F. 165004(12.6%) [00:07:51]Cruelfate starts casting Advancing March on Cruelfate. [00:07:52](Detzu) Dr. 152867(11.7%), Skillchain(Det.) 7955(0.6%), Skillchain(D.) 3781(0.3%) Found this in my chat log from the 16th september, I purposedly hide the names except mine, but monks are not shanian, manotauro or zephyr and it's just a parse (ppl can die or be sick this day etc.). Pointless without knowing the quality of the MNKs, but a good DRK can lead on tojil pretty easily.
Its difficult to determine things with one parse. For example: was MNK#1 dead for 50% of a fight, was he getting hasted/buffed at the same rate as the DRK?
For significance, you need have constant buffs (and the same ones; haste samba can throw things off a bit). Then not only show parse final numbers but the buff page on parse too, to show consistence. The ideal way to do DRK vs MNK parsing is to keep them in the same party and have an impartial buffer (cor prob easiest), making sure haste and -na's are done in a fair and timely fashion and then of course no one can die to skew it. Wouldn't you also have to have both the Mnk and Drk agree upon using the same subjob as well as utilizing JA's in the same manner? Cause I noticed some people double stack their ja buffs and others space them out so as to always have an active JA buff at all times. No, wtf. That's all player error here and that's what we're trying to see here. Who is sucking less.

Actually have to admit that pchan is right atleast for morimar, just did morimar 5 NM+tojil with 10 people(was more or less 9) yesterday. Setup was 3 decent mnk, whm, brd(3song and (only 95 horn i think)), cor, geo, sch/rdm and sch/blm. I dont remember what the last person was(rdm or whm) was someones friend who got to see/kill tojil the 1st time. I am sure it can be done with 8 or maybe even 7 but with 9 people it should be pretty much 100% win. Edit: this isnt new news anyway since someone 9 boxed tojil like 2 months ago. That isn't what Pchan claimed though. In regards to him and his partner obtaining Oatixur, (and in last place, Pchan and Co) news of this is rather amusing, considering he has still been unsuccessful in beating Tojil with his setup, even with Oatixur. (I'm sure we'd be hearing about it if he did)
Further amusement by the fact that he had to resort to pick up group when he claimed to be able to beat it with Rigor, before the buff. My personal best on Tojil as MNK/WAR is 308461 (23.6%). I'm sure plenty of MNKs have hit higher numbers, as I only had 4-5 songs/2 cor rolls for that run.
I'm not going to make a silly argument like pchan is that MNKs are the best or anything. I like MNK, but I'll readily admit when it's beaten by other jobs. But I'm a little surprised it's accepted that a "good DRK can lead on Tojil easily". Haven't seen it myself until these last two pages. pchan said: » Mdk told me he wasn't getting haste or cures the whole fight, somehow ended up solo tanking tojil because everyone bite the dust due to fail stun, etc. Also WHM in alliance are pretty HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE, it's always better to full time pdt. I don't know where I got my oat and all other weapons from, maybe SE just decided to DB them to me. You know it was sarcasm, and the true meaning was that pchan would at most time out on tojil with his COR less and GEO less set up? Who said it wasn't winnable with 8 or 9 ppl? In your set up there was COR and GEO which pchan refuse to bring in. I'm saying it's not needed you idiot, much different. Except mnks, whms, brds, only sch is needed.
Not sure about not needing a GEO. With low no. of DDs you probably need a GEO for languor/focus to extend your time before your sch resists. From my experience with 10 man tojil it can get dangerously close to stun resist wall (and our GEO bolstered around 40% to make sure we don't get resists).
May be able to ditch the COR, but really not too convinced about ditching the GEO. Would love to see you succeed and screenshot it though! Couldn't a DNC replace the GEO (-13% def box step and shutter step -??% mevasion) while adding some more DD to finish quicker? The COR could rotate parties and give +macc also.
