I really don't care about that since I use a dualbox mage for kill shot.

I tried full timing TH once for dynamis, and it was noticeably slow. My King Behemoth example earlier wasn't the best (because TH doesn't effect Defending Ring drop, but some people will get TH up anyway), but in any situation like that you ain't bothered about DPS, all you want is Feint to come back up and having a way to SATA.

Then you're being inefficient regardless, and it doesn't matter what you do.

I'd do 2 dynamis for 1600 coins. and 2 salvages instead of lol2boxing it.

No, it won't. and 15 Dex from izii/12 dex from atoyac is superior to 5% WSD.

Well I'm going to go dyna/salvage full timing TH gear, you can go do your thing.

And no, the 15/12dex means next to nothing. The only thing that combo has going for it is the oat.

Yes, it actually is, how about you actually spreadsheet it instead of being ignorant.

Dex does three things, WS damage, acc and crit rate.

The only way dex would help is if you weren't 1-shotting dyna mobs, wasn't capped acc or wasn't capped crit rate. Tell me which one of these you aren't doing.

If I wanted to be efficient, I'd buy gil. You're talking about going out of your way and doing things you don't want to do be better at something.

Stop it please.
Spread sheeting means nothing in the realm of dynamis.
If you wanted to make a point you would have to tell me the difference in attack round of damage between sand/atoyac and izi/atoyac then tell me if it big enough to save a round on a mob with only 7k hp and this is all without factoring in mobs your wsing straight away if you have tp because your overkilling with either setup.

Izhiikoh is superior to Sandung. Isn't it the best non RME dagger THF can use? Not sure if any new daggers came out lately.

Also Dynamis isn't about WS damage, TP melee damage is by far the most important thing.

so ok I'm seeing you claiming you get 800 singles in a dynamis run, now considering I proc a mob, then kill pretty quickly, aka I feel I do it efficiently and then only get about 500 singles makes me call BS.

Now look maybe there is something I'm doing wrong but take qufim for example, I get my TEs, then cycle the weapons, raptors and krakens, proc and kill in less than 30 seconds usually.

If that equals 500 singles, I can't for the life of me work out how you can get 300 more with slightly better gear, especially when the killspeed difference will be really insignificant against trashy dynamis mobs.

Because of your refusal to understand the other person. I was clearly talking about constantly popping SA and TA in hopes of increasing TH values. That cuts into kill speed more than anything else.

Who would have guessed assassin/mercenary combined with fashion designer would be such a winning combination

I just really love the half/half thing. Super attractive. Being a bad-*** assassin is just bonus.

The whole point was, why do people use Sandung when they don't need to?

- If you cannot cap Treasure Hunter with regular equipment (Plun Hands 119, and either Chaac Belt, or Raider's Poulaines +2), Sandung can be used for Treasure Hunter +1.

- If you do not have at least two of these: Vajra, Mandau, Izhiikoh, Atoyac, Sabebus, then Sandung is an acceptable DD dagger.

- Stacking Treasure Hunter past the cap will not help to rise effectiveness. So only use what you need. When you have the daggers and the Treasure Hunter, Sandung will be relegated to gathering dust in storage.

Hey! Let's chill out everyone, it's just a game. I was given this information because I ask a lot of questions, and I read up on things. If I am wrong, I would love to know why, just do it in a constructive and respectful manner. :)

With new rudra, tp dmg is negligible because you can one shot pretty much everything. It actually works against you as you can rush the mob faster to theirs 1h like thf and pld (suposing youre fighting beastman), and losing 30 secs waiting their sp to wears off.

I think he was over-exaggerating. I was nonstop proc and kill when I got 603. I suppose I could get a little more, but I got pretty lucky. I ain't tried Dynamis since the Rudra's update though. I can't imagine that pushing me over 800 though.

Why would you waste time fighting beastmen on your way to ADL?

Aside these ridiculous scenarios, why would you sit on a mob with PD/Invincible up without switching targets?

Too new? lawl. I was probably 75 THF with mandau before you even started playing.

Why are people disputing this so hard?

Sandung does not suck, but it can be replaced. If you continue to use it when you no longer need too then you are only hurting your own cause. But it's your life, your game, I only joined in here because I wanted to share information.

Please don't use Sandung if you are capped on TH and have better daggers. Don't center your THF around Sandung, Sandung THFs should be reserved for mules only.

I remember ihina making a thread for x's knife at 75 cap so he definitely played thf before abyssea.

It doesn't matter who started when, how or where.

Close, 2003.

But in any case, I've been thoroughly unimpressed with your inability to think about the THF job beyond what the spreadsheet tells you for the past several months now. The spreadsheet is a helpful tool, yes, but it doesn't replace actually having to think about the job too.

Ok let me break it down for you. Not official numbers but example.
Wsing damage between setups do nothing mob are over killed regardless.
So this kill speed your talking about is tp phase only.
Sand/atoyac 360 damage swing 720 damage attack round excluding TA
Izi/atoyac 380 damage(and that's over doing it) 760 damage.
Mob has 7k hp
Both are 9 rounds there's no difference. You need to get about a 77 damage difference between the 2.
Now sprees sheet it and show me different.
Where as my th 8 caps then I have an extra th during tp for a small but increase non the less.
And these are for only mobs your not overkilling with ws. So half?
Where's this massive difference your talking about?

I agree with this. The game is not about spreadsheets. Speadsheets help but the variables are too great to rely on it too much. Also most of us (myself included) don't have the time to be messing around with them.
