Skirmish 3 is still going to give you lots of MDT, which means you can have an exceptional full time magic damage set with lots of MDB accessories.

So from the Delve stuff, things that immediately spring to mind:

Qaaxo Mitaines B15 are now our best ACC hands

Qaaxo Harness A15 is a good alternative to Thaumas when you need good hybrid between damage and staying alive (even out damages Thaumas on some higher level fodder, maybe because of the STR/DEX, plus the highest evasion available from body)
B15 is great too, for stuff you're not going to dodge or with lots of physical AoEs. I will probably go the B path for stuff like AAs where there is always a chance you're going to get caught by an AoE no matter how good you are.

Qaaxo Tights C15 become our best defensive legs (+112 HP is ridonc)

Qaaxo Feet C15 definitely our best Mercy Feet now, B15 would be our best ACC feet (~4.25 more ACC than Pill. Poulaines +1, but with some STP added on at the cost of an equal amount of STR).

All in all the B path looks the most promising to me, since almost none of this (except the feet of course) are going to replace Pillager's +1 for stacked WS (crit damage is just too good to pass up)

Now if only it wasn't 12 mil+ to cap pieces right now.

So, I know we all know Relics don't work in the offhand (Procs, Attack bonus)... But, is it also common knowledge the "Attack+40" on 1 handed relics only applies to the main hand, and not the offhand?

Just got my 119 Mandau, and doing Check Param, my Main hand attack is 884, my offhand 844. (Both I.lv119 weapons with +242 Dagger skill). Therefor, the Attack+40 from Mandau is only being applied to my main hand, not my offhand.

I was under the impression all buffs from weapons applied to both hands, as I do get the Accuracy from Iziikoh applied to my main hand. Sorry if Im a little late to this revelation train, I just found it odd, as I had assumed for a while now the Attack+ on relic 1 handers applied to both hands like any other Attack+ buff would.

It is because off hand attack from str is 50% while it is 75% for main hand

I'm going to sit and think on the fact that this equates to exactly 40 attack, and wonder what exactly are the odds.

I remember the 75%STR/DEX update, I just forgot they kept it at 50% for offhands.

160STR... 75% of that is 120.
50% of it is 80.

Exactly 40, same as the Attack bonus from Mandau.

Seriouslytheodds.

Yah, I removed some STR gear, my head to be exact.

Went to 866 Main, 830 Off. (Removed 17 STR).

It was the 75%/50% bonus at work, I just so happened to have the exact amount of STR I needed for it to be a 40 Attack difference. I'm still laughing a little at the chances of that. I mean even 2 str in either direction...

Good luck getting one, much less two evader earring +1s: I have the only one on Sylph, handed down from Merru and Fiendishone. Fortunately, phawaylla earring is just as good and it's dirt cheap! Unfortunately, you can only have one of those :(

Hi uber thfs,

I am a beginning thief. The assassin culottes and +1 version both have steal bonus. But upgrading to Assassin Culottes +2 and Plunderer Culottes seem to have the steal bonus dissapear from the discription.

is it really gone ?

In fact, the +2 actually erase the effect of "steal" from the +1.

Its not the only relic who does this, the +2 sorcerers tonban also dont have the weather effect that the nq and +1 had. They said some half assed excused though.

Dont know the reason why the steal was ignored but most likely its some crap from dev team.

Yeah, it's really gone :( So assassin's culottes +1 really is your best +steal item for legs.

Also update news! Sandung is our new JSE, and at first glance it seems quite obtainable (easiest way to unlock the quest is doing an SKCNM on difficult). And yes, it has TH+1, which means if you have chaac belt, raider's poulaines +2, and assassin's armlets +2 (or the 109/119 version) you don't need a thief's knife to cap equipment TH anymore.

... Unless you want to try to hit TH12 through procs, in which case thief's knife is probably a better choice because of its low damage.

It stacks, but then you'd have a total of TH9, and the equipment cap is 8.

True strike

but I didn't mean it was all doable, it's just the highest evasion on paper that SE allows us to achieve.

Are there any current practical applications of a heavy evasion set? I'm open to hearing where people might have found it useful, but I'm not really sure what a THF might be fighting where all of the following would be met:

1) THF would be the target of evadable attacks

2) THF could get above terribad-level evasion regardless of gear (i.e. if for some reason you're bringing a THF to something like D/VD high tier battlefields or Delve 2.0, even with a major eva set you're probably at crap level evasion, and a little increase is doubtful to be more useful than DD or DT- stats)

3) The mobs are powerful enough to make evasion matter in the first place; i.e. you're not already eva-capped in your DD set (as is probably the case with most pre-Adoulin content) or it's not more effective to just DD and take the occasional extra hit due to slightly reduced evasion and handle it via subjob (/NIN /DNC), trust, cures, etc.

OR Skirmish is the only content I can think of where evasion MIGHT be practical, but even then my knee-jerk assumption would be that DD options would probably be better, and just take the Eva on those pieces you'd be using anyway as a bonus.

Josiahfk showed off a video doing this in Yorcia a few months ago. You really do need a top-tier evasion set to make it work, but when it does it's a lot of fun to do. I personally sacrifice some evasion for PDT, but I don't have very much ilvl 119 gear so my Iuitl NQ is nearly my best choice anyways.

Well that's strange. No offense, but I'm gonna need a second person to confirm it, only because it's highly unusual for that stat to work in the offhand.

Would like to know if there's a use for Qaaxo hands other than ACC set? And which path would it be?
