I am wanting to work on a decent Bow, mostly for procs and I want to be able to do enough damage so that folks dont >.>. I have an 85 Arma and have been using Vision bow since I got it a while back. I've looked at a few posts on here and haven't seen any definite answers except a few from 2+ years ago.
So, my question is; Which bow should I get? I will not be doing Empy, or WoE version or Relic bows. I just want something I can make in a short amount of time like STR path or TP Bonus, OAX, something else? Which is best and why?

Honestly though, if you've got a friend that can help you for a day or two, you'll probably end up finishing a Gandiva faster than you would any fire trial

Gandiva took me less than 22 hours total in abyssea with a few friends dicking around on it. Raining down lightning bolts is totally worth it.
Again I really dont want the hastle of competing over Fistule pops. I want a bow that's better than Vision that I can make leisurely solo. Please stay on topic.

The most comp I've had on fistule ever ( made 2 weapons off it) was someone wanting +2s off of it and we just teamed up.
If you just have to make a bow (go go gun) then make the str one, I guess. The gil you'll blow on geodes, though...

Just keep the damn vision bow. If you're not going to do it right, don't do it at all.

Ranger really is fortunate in that the better way is substantially less annoying than the alternatives
If you want a bow that makes you feel like you put in effort, get a Vali's!

On topic...Fistule is hardly ever camped. You also have NIN and THF. You can easily solo Fistule. If he is being camped its likely for +2s.
Buhkis I guess is kinda annoying. But you can wildfire brew that b#tch easily with your arma.
I'm also extremely curious about the gear your page is showing you in.

I prefer my anni but I really do still love my gandiva. The blinding lightning bolt thing is too fun to never use :\

Bukhis is easy to shout for and all the KI NMs are right next to each other. Get a NIN THF WHM Pow!!
Alfard is also easy to solo. Go NIN, buy the pop items to save time, stand on the *** for both the KI nm and Alfard, cast TP down, Subtle blow, slow, and blind, you got urself a win.
All other bows are pointless as there just isnt any other Archery WS worth doing.
Or just make an Annihilator and Coronach everything.
