ItemSet 391359
Gerdr +1 is also an option but will be 99% DA if my math is right, unless you have a Boii +2 earring.

I know, and I don't remember who posted it, but they made a good point that MEVA resisting even a single paralyze is probably more of a DPS gain than any pushing for hyper-aggressive builds, which I can accept at face value.
With that said, I need those big white numbers to get that dopamine hit. I've got my 4/5 and 5/5 sakpata builds if I need them, but where I can get away with it, I like to live a little dangerously. Offline

Probably me. Also ItemSet 387471 It's probably the highest white damage build possible right now. Outside of maybe fully stacked armageddon hover shot RNG or full potency Scarlet Delirium Redemption DRK. Asura.Clintbeastwood

If you're lucky enough to have +2 earring, this set would get to 100% DA without need for merits so you can focus berserk/warcry recasts. You can use gerdr if you want i just threw in windbuffet since i dropped niqmaddu. If you decide to make the prime great axe just swap cape for STP Alternatively ItemSet 391376 Offline

I am looking for a good set for Impulse Drive ( or is there a better WS to use with shining one on war?)
Tried looking a handful of pages back but could not find it. Target is Oddy C farming

Anyone have the prime GS?
What would be the best tp to ws if anyone has tested for best results? Offline

Is this page correct? It basically says that no Great Axe WSes have any FTP replication across their hits.
https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Category:FTP_Replicating_WS Also, what does the latest upheaval set look like? I initially was rationalizing that Fotia / multiattack would be good, but I'm not sure what is correct (WSD vs Multiattack) Offline

That's correct, GA is one of the few weapon types that doesnt have any replicating ftp WS'(think the only other was staff?), as such they all follow a heavy WSD set, heavy multi-attack is favorable when below 2k TP but especially when using chango or the ambu Gaxe firing a WS off before 2k isnt very common
Guess ill add that raging rush would benefit more from DA too, though im not too sure when its used if at all these days When you 100% DA on WSs does it add 2 double attack procs on a 1 hit WS? or does the WS have to have at least 2 hits to get both procs?

104 DA so 5 > 7 hits if you don't miss. ItemSet 393501 Please critique or add improvements. I'm newb on WAR. Any suggestions on a Mighty Strikes set for Reso and Fimbulvetr Asura.Clintbeastwood

I'm newb on WAR. Any suggestions on a Mighty Strikes set for Reso and Fimbulvetr Gut check wants head swapped for Sakpata for the 15% DA damage. Ran it through Kastra's python tool and it shows lower overall wsd than boii head (which I find a little sus). Assuming through merits or Gyudon you still maintained your 104 DA, I can't see how empy head outperforms Sakpata head outside of set bonus procs. Rest of it looks pretty solid though, would definitely try it out. /DRG or /SAM? Edit: Might consider swapping Sailfi for Fotia and use Gyudon to compensate the DA, considering Reso is replicating ftp Asura.Clintbeastwood said: » Phoenix.Iocus said: » I am looking at this set for Resolution with Helheim to avoid getting walled. 104 DA so 5 > 7 hits if you don't miss. Edit: Rerunning with Gyudon and Fotia, comes out slightly ahead of Sailfi. Boii +3 feet and Yetshila +1 for mighty strikes, crit damage boost carries across all hits and adds up nicely imo. If used in conjunction with Brazen Rush you can afford to lose the double attack from feet and ammo. Otherwise I use a similar set, except I prefer Schere earring (r30) with the str+ att+ acc+ and near same double attack and Sakpata feet (r25, nice att+, still some DA, more STR+). Fotia pieces if I am confident on pdif. But I am not usually running around sortie with a geo so that's hit or miss. My set does not have as high double attack as your set listed, but with resolution receiving an attack modifier of less than 1, I value att+ and STR+ a lot as well.
My two cents anyhow, hope that helps you with your decision. Gyudon is accessible and a great suggestion. Thank you
I have question about the wsd+ from gyudon. Does it behave like dragoon trait and apply to all hits of a ws?

Dragoon trait applies to all hits.
I have never used the food but I'm highly confident its first hit only. yeah, I was aware about drg trait and how it functioned. Just wasn't sure if anyone had any knowledge of the food and whether it applied to first hit like gear or all hits like trait. Thanks though ^^.

I stand corrected, Kasha's tool is still smarter than me. Edit: Rerunning with Gyudon and Fotia, comes out slightly ahead of Sailfi. Fotia should win most of the time with Resolution, except maybe at extremely high TP values. It's +0.0976 (100/1024) fTP on each hit, which is about ~6.5% increase at 2K TP and ~4.3% at capped TP. Food wise, I've become addicted to Omelette sandwich due to the whole Not Dieing thing. If that part is covered and you don't have to worry about taking hits, then Gyudon is probably the best or one of the best DPS foods due to +Attack not being worth a damn. Carbonara is also really good due to the +Store TP. :Edit: I was thinking, some folks might not know about how the +Attack on food stacks. In FFXI, stacking is usually (Base + Additive Bonus) * Multiplicative Bonus's, with each type being a different multiplier. It's why +Attack from Bards is so amazing, it gets applied before all the other percentile bonus's like Fury / Chaos / Smite / Berserk / etc. Food is the exception, it gets applied last. +80 Attack from food on something with 5000 attack puts them at 5080 attack, not very helpful. Gyudon should meet or beat that, Carbonara too (6 Store TP). I think there are some other foods with special effects on them that should be worth more then 150 attack. When I say not being worth a damn, I mean vs other options. It's why I switched to using defense food, preventing 1/10 deaths ends up being a better DPS increase then attack food. Foods for bulk are always nice if survivability is a question, though I don't think it's just the raw defense, but the large HP gain from them that's doing more of the heavy lifting. Otherwise, you could just go with Rabbit Pie (100def 5STR/VIT 100atk). I mean the absolute best ATK food in the game to my knowledge is Behemoth Steak +1. +165atk +8STR/DEX +2% Triple attack. Surely it's nothing to sneeze at. |
