Nonsense! Stepthanie's skills have been growing by 'enormous' leaps and bounds lately.
YouTube Video Placeholder I will have to defer to Chia's expertise on this one. I can only imagine that, underneath the shag rug, she was making this face:
YouTube Video Placeholder Still more exciting than XIV-2. That's not saying much though. To be fair, the XIII compendium was the worst series of offline Final Fantasy games, so XIV-2 might not be that bad in comparison.
Poor XIII. Square took a gamble, trying to change up the formula, and it just didn't pay off. I applaud their effort to try and keep the series fresh, even if this particular installment didn't hit the mark.
Of course, then they had to double down on stupid and keep cranking out sequels featuring a supremely unlikeable heroine*, so any sympathy I might have had evaporated. * = the little woman's reaction after maybe ten minutes of seeing Lightning do her thing was: "Don't main characters in these games die at the end, like half the time? Let me know if she dies. I want to see it." Do you think XIII would have been more accepted if it wasn't called Final Fantasy XIII?
I know XIV would have garnered my attention more if it was called "Semi-online LAN Fantasy with 2 friends and a Brony from Arkansas." Lakshmi.Stepth said: » Do you think XIII would have been more accepted if it wasn't called Final Fantasy XIII? Absolutely. Two other obvious victims of naming: FFVIII: It was an okay game! It just wasn't as good or nearly as popular as VII, even though Triple Triad was great. Chrono Cross: Actually, a really good game! Nothing was going to match the hype after Chrono Trigger, though, so this was doomed before it ever hit the shelves. Chrono Cross's music was incredible.
YouTube Video Placeholder YouTube Video Placeholder Dream of the Shore and Radical Dreamers are my favorites from that soundtrack.

YouTube Video Placeholder You have sent me this song approximately 10 times and each time I accidentally click on it, it gets progressively more offensive to my ears. You are the Chia of music taste.
