Come back for Salvage? .-. Idk.
Did they ever _confirm_ that you'll need old salvage gear to get the new stuff?
I know they said it would be similar to Limbus at one point, but we never heard anything about it since did we? (I should really get to work -_-) Phoenix.Sehachan said: » Come back for Salvage? .-. Idk. The Neo-salvage gear is going to have to be some incredible stuff to match the anticipation.

If I'm understanding this correctly, PD and Embrava nerf will be going live but Nyzul Isle adjustment and new JAs will not. Seems like a poor decision to me.
do I have any prayer of the salvage patch including removing the 3-man limitation on old content?
I'll come back right after finals, really. Haven't played ANY games all *** semester, not even anything on my DS. Really burnt out on classes, and have enough saved up to at least try a month and see if I want to keep playing or not

Is this all? :( I was expecting so much more, here's hoping they add more to the adjustments/expansions in this area =/ I do believe they said that they were considering having the neo salvage gear upgradable the same way neo limbus gear was, but we never got a confirmation iirc. Personally, if the gear is good enough, I would enjoy a system like this to try and pull more ppl into salvage runs.
I am hopeful the new salvage gear is great. The increased alexandrite flow is going to supplement everyone making a mythic right now.
I need a static. Wonder if I'm still in time to seduce Suji or Nerji, or better both.

Yeah people can currently get dc'd in and 'solo', but the number of people that actually go through all that trouble to do that is really small compared to the flood of people that would show up if they could solo enter (oh hai dyna perle bsts). Bismarck.Kelhor said: » The Neo-salvage gear is going to have to be some incredible stuff to match the anticipation. I'm anticipating it because salvage was a fun, exciting event that you could feel your group getting gradually better at until you were floorwiping the thing and making full runs almost all the time. The fact that the rewards were great was nice too, but of course, a ton of people got turned off by it because of the abyssmal drop rate that lasted long past the point where you group would get to a point they were running it perfectly. Lakshmi.Tanama said: » I am hopeful the new salvage gear is great. The increased alexandrite flow is going to supplement everyone making a mythic right now. As I've said elsewhere, I think the increased Alex flow from people actually doing the event will make it easier to get for the people that were already determined to drop the 600M+time investment, but I think it's naive to think that neo salvage will decrease the price significantly for 2 reasons: 1. People obviously already value the alex at 20k apiece which is why they disappear from bazaars so damned fast 2. In order for neo salvage to be equal to a normal salvage run in terms of Alex it would need to drop like 300+ pieces per run. Do you seriously see that happening? A decrease in soloists because of people running new salvage (It's very likely going to use the same permits) decreases the amount of alex inflow by a bit. Also remember needing assault points for it means less neo nyzul runs that result in linens being dropped...speaking of which, nobody's ever reaching floor 100 again, so no linens from neo nyzul anymore. Siren.Mosin said: » do I have any prayer of the salvage patch including removing the 3-man limitation on old content? The only reason that limitation was ever there wasn't because of whatever *** excuse SE keeps feeding us, it's because they know if they removed the limitation a lot more people would have access to salvage, which isn't a problem because of "mythics should be hard to get omg" but because the assault/salvage instances can only support something like 3 groups in there at a time. People being able to enter solo would mean congestion in the area every hour of the day, and they're too lazy to update their servers. Well, back when TOAU came out, that was a significant improvement over their HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE entry system of Dynamis which only allowed a single group in there at once.

I'm pretty pessimistic about much extra alex flowing in.
People are kinda setting themselves up for some epic disappointment regarding neo salvage, its not going to make alex flow like a river where youll see ryunohiges everywhere like neodynamis did for ragnaroks everywhere lol... Similar to how we added jobs that previously could not wear Homam/Nashira to the new Murzim and Shedir equipment available via the new higher-tier Limbus areas, the development team is planning to add dancer, scholar, and other jobs to the new Salvage equipment, but not to the currently existing Salvage gear. In regards to reducing the number of required players for entry, I believe a similar response was made in the past about assault, but we do not have any plans of lowering the requirement due to concerns that instances will be filled faster causing congestion. If you read that quote closely, it actually doesn't outright state we need the old salvage gear to make the new stuff, but just that we they will add the new jobs onto the new salvage gear.
Regardless, I have been completing my salvage sets simply because I can. ALways wanted to say I was 25/25 on salvage, lol. It won't change anything for the people who didn't have the gil to make one before unless every run is going to drop like 500-600+ alexandrite per run. For the people that are rich though, it means a lot less hours spent in upper jeuno trying to find the stuff because it's so short in supply. Valefor.Sapphire

The best we can hope for is a 1-2k per piece price drop and be able to find it more often. If the supply ran wild, it would be absorbed by more people making a mythic, not by prices crashing. The price of 15-20k is pretty much here to stay. But it's safe to assume it will. Also, there were pictures when announcements were made and we could see some characters fighting a Khimaria inside Nyzul Isle, if I'm not mistaken. And I read somewhere the enemies are a challenge for high level players, so probably a party. |
