Best way to farm Briareus?
So obviously I don't have a red proc job. What I have available to me is MNK/THF/PUP/BLU/COR. I have a WHM mule ready for use also. I tried gold box farming for it, or at least box farm til I had 2/3 then go get the last from nm. But as there are no mobs in the zone that don't azure, I got a lot less gold due to high azure. Any tips? I can proc everything available to BLU and raiden thrust. So naturally, it's always dagger or katana or something

Or just take the time to level NIN and WAR sub. Just makes it so much easier.

I have both subs, but that doesn't give me access to ku, freezebite, shadow of death, koki, jinpu, energy drain
Sorry I meant level NIN to 99 and your WAR sub (if you don't have already).
I guess that's not a terrible idea. I have full thaumas, so I wouldn't even need to get NIN gear. I'd be a gimp NIN, but more than enough to farm lolempy nm's xD
Yeah mate, I think what he's getting at, is leveling is still a joke, with abyssea. That really is the most effective way to handle farming Bri.
Heck you could level your NIN in Worm parties, keep your eye open for Key Items and snag them when they pop up if you decide to go that route.

i did all of mine as thf/war + sch/whm (random embrava is nice!) thf/war has all the procs of nin/war besides GK and katana(3 ws's) and the TH made up for missing those 3 ws's do to how much quicker the pop items dropped, i knocked out about 2 per hour doing it like this assuming no one was fighting for pops killed the 1st round of pop set NM's w/ nukes to get azure high enough for random TE's and 2hr resets i rarely had to zone out for time
Yeah, I guess deep down I knew all that. I was just really hoping that gold box farming was a viable option <.<
That's great and all but I don't have a sword for the whm mule, nor a katana for THF. Also can you get koki with /nin?
do you have that katana name handy by chance josiahfk? i didnt think there was one thf could use that'd really come in handy, i really wish i would have done events my self for the GK n polearm <.<
The GK and Pitchfork are still obtainable (ntm halloween event just happened...) just make a mule and gold world pass it. That's how I got the GK

koki on /nin requires full GK merits and basicly all the +GK skill gear a thf could wear to pull off

Ok so basically if you merit GK all the way up. (that's gona hurt) You then have to make up 20 skill in gear. I'm guessing there's a damn torque involved here...

That's all there is listed on wiki, so I'm assuming it can't be done. Josia if you have some insight here please do tell :)
There are no other skill+ gears that aren't sam native I don't think. I don't think it's possible to do it /nin. You would end up being 3 points off.

Just pointing out that you only gain lights for the currently claimed mob. Thus, utilizing CFH allows you to charged whisker mobs without gaining any azure.

I don't know how much stones you have but if you started abyssea as soon it came out you should have over 2k stones, forget about TE and burn stones, just go thf/nin and hope for the KI to drop, that's what i'm doing, sometimes i get 1/2~3 on the KI, the NMs die fast, and with TH7 you can get them pops very fast too. I'm doing about 6 pops a day with thf/nin and my whm mule, just takes patience, do it everyday and you'll have it done within a week.
NIN/WAR and WHM/THF also works well enough, not like you need the cure mule to have a "respectable" sub. I had him dia2 everything anyways so we got TH3 on everything, and most of the red procs.
I'd say level nin too. I leveled it for the purpose of helping my girlfriend farm for her uknon. it took me 2 days to get it to 99, about 3 days to cap skill, and my shared gear between mnk means im already the best geared nin in like...a week. save you way more time and effort to go that route than fiddling w/ other options
