He's flailing around because there is nothing to debate here. Short of a declaration of war to take out Assad or topple the Iranian regime there isn't much Romney can do other than complain about Israel and our foreign policy in the last 4 years.

There's certain questions and ideas that you don't entertain because of the possible repercussions. Anything can (and usually will be) taken out of context when it comes to politics and it could make foreign affairs even messier.

Yeah, that was an absolute lie and Obama should have punished it.

Romney said outright to let the companies fail and to let the private sector handle the auto bailout.

Ummm, he not only never said the word "liquidate", he also said "The federal government should provide guarantees for post-bankruptcy financing and assure car buyers that their warranties are not at risk.
In a managed bankruptcy, the federal government would propel newly competitive and viable automakers, rather than seal their fate with a bailout check." This, btw, is exactly what he said in the debate and Obama called him a liar.
