If you want to act like you're top dog, don't call foul when you get humbled. She deserved a punch that hard - I don't think she'll ever forget it, and that's the point. Does he deserve to be fired? Yes, because he didn't handle it professionally. Socially, things went how they should've. From a business stand point, nothing went right.

The problem with that is if you live in the US, courts favor women 99% of the time even if the girl deserved it. Women are always gonna be considered the victims here, so it's generally not worth it.

I'm not enabling anyone. An attacker is an attacker, regardless of gender, and should be dealt with as such.
As for the vehicle coming to a stop, it does look like the driver decided to park it first, before standing up, socking her in the face to stun her, or simply as a means of throwing her off balance, which made it easier. I'm assuming that since he said "Your going to jail now", he did radio in the behavior, since only moments during the altercation were released.
I do know that the drivers in my city deal with situations accordingly, and are often restricted from using any kind of force to remove an unruly passenger. Even when they are attacked and spit on - which i've seen happen before, most notably by drunken males, and sober/drunk females.

There is a big difference in putting someone down, and putting them 6 feet down. The argument is disabling a threat and isolating it for the authorities to deal with it.
I do agree, and i do not discriminate against anyone who decides to bully another (which is what happened) simply because the perception is they can not fight back due to the rules of their job, or from threat of being removed.

How it was executed is the problem and is why he deserved to be fired. If passenger safety is a concern, then the bus should be parked (which it looks like he did) and the police called. I'm reserving judgement on whether or not she needed to be confronted at all just because it's not clear exactly what kind of physical contact she made in the video.

Keep in mind he's operating a bus with other passengers on it, and paying attention to the traffic hes driving in. His job is stressful enough without the woman's berating, truth be told she got exactly what she deserved and I have no sympathy for her.

Ok, so what we're missing here, is she had atleast 5 minutes between stops, maybe as much as 10 minutes, depending on traffic conditions, to find the change she was looking for, considering other passengers confirmed that the driver stated he would take her to the next stop, but anything more than that, she would have to pay the fare.
According to the videos and testimonies, that's when she became biligerent, verbally abusive, and violent, while issuing threats while the vehicle was in motion.
And she's the victim because she got her face smacked, and thrown off the bus.

After the attacker is left stunned, even for a split second, You grab the attacker, and remove them from the vehicle/premises, or you detain them legally using permitable force, ie. non-lethal force, or force that is not in excess of detaining the attacker. (basically do not injure attacker more than required to detain them)

That's only because the news only has one story to spin, and she(go figure) is more than happy enough to give her "victim" side of the story.
RTA more than likely has a public relations office, and lawyers to handle the speaking for the driver.
Really hope the driver just gets put on probation or something for the incident, it's incredibly hard to retain self control when someone spits on you, but I sincerely hope the driver doesn't loose his job for this incident. He did go a bit far, but at that point rage blocks your sense of judgement, and to be honest, if I was in that situation I'd clock the chick too, even though I'm typically a mild manner person.

I think this statement about sums it up.
As a woman I don't think any man should ever beat on a woman just because hes pissed off. But once you step up to a man like a man and put your hands on him, you have every right to be knocked down like a man. This is what I have told both of my daughter as well.

He's a damn elderly man, and she acted like a piece of crap AND laid her hands ON THE ELDERLY. She certainly got what she deserved. incredibly suprised nobody on the bus got involved before it got so out hand, i mean letting that crazy *** go off on the guy while he's trying to drive is unsafe enough for me to have to take action as a passenger. (either remove myself from that bus, or get involved) but even more suprising is all the sheep[with cellphones] just letting that punk chick get her way.
