Thinkin About Server Jumping...

Unless you have friends you are moving to spend time with or a specific reason to move server maybe if you have done something like stolen a bank or something equally negative then it is a waste of money, they are all the same with the same things going on.

It sounds like the game has ran its course for you, don't keep playing just for the sake of it, move onto something you will enjoy.

I have basically zero first hand experience with other servers, even having started the game on Fairy then merging to Sylph it still felt the same. So many people were up in arms about a merge but nothing really changed for me except the name. Gonna go with what was said in this thread and say that's because of my friends and the company I keep.

I've heard complaints about Sylph being dead from people who transferred from other servers but I think once you start moving around, the grass is always gonna be greener. Granted, maybe comparatively it is dead but there always seems to be shouts for random ***and the douchebag contingency isn't all that bad.

A couple times for shiggles I've cruised through different servers on the Shouts page. Obviously not the most accurate gauge but they all seem relatively the same to me.

I'm originally from Bismark. Transferred to Fairy not long after returning from an extended break and learning my linkshell was destroyed by a mass banning through the salvage dupes. Yeah, that long ago, lol. One thing I immediately discovered is that all servers are alike. Mirror images of one another. You have the same drama, the same /shouts, the same asshats (just with different names).
I had a few acquaintences that have jumped servers since then, headed to greener pastures to escape drama. All of them quit soon thereafter, having learned that they took the drama with them. In fact, I can recall not 1 that didn't quit soon after.
If you're transferring servers, do it for the right reasons, not to escape drama. If you're running from Drama, you're the source of it and gonna take it with you.
The key to avoiding drama is to treat everyone indifferently and from a point of grace. Covet your friends.

The only exception is if your play-time is pretty limited.

EG: A European player will probably enjoy things more if they're on a server with a good population of active European players.
