That other chick had like half her stomach blown off by Allon or w/e during the Aizen arc and she lived.
Tbh I think he killed Sasaibke for good just cause he didn't know wtf to do with him...he even forgot him at one point during Karakura Arc lol!
That guy was supposed to have been strong (he achieved Bankai so his Shikai must've been strong as well since you need to be at a certain level of strength to learn or w/e) but he was defeated in 1 hit by Ichigo >_> Kinda lame tbh, he should've put up a bit more of a fight, Ikkaku always does.
His shikai was something like a lightning rapier, was shown in the anime and they hinted he was weak lol.
Bleach got very bland after when they were saving Orihime from Aizen in that huge compound. After that I didn't really care to watch it any further since it felt like rehashing.
But still, he should've been able to put up a fight against Ichigo at least, since it was Shikai vs Shikai. Even if he was weaker he had more experience. Kubo's power levels are kinda HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. Ichigo beating Kenpachi who then takes on 2 Bankais with no problem. Wtfux.

Yeah Kubo sucks at consistency, he makes great characters though. The reason I loved Bleach was for the characters.

After the end of the Soul Society Arc, the only thing interesting to me was Nel and Grimmjow. Been overall bored with the series since then, but it's the only thing that consistently comes out and gives me something to do at work. Most series I read are either complete, on hiatus, or monthly, so meh.

I assume more ppl will die but what i like about bleach is they know how to make the "bad" guys likeable.. And in most cases you are sad to see some of them die. Which is writing that i like. I like it when the "Enemy" has fair reasons as to why they are doing what they are doing.

And this "king of soul society" remains an enigmatic mention in the last arc, anyone have dirt on this guy?
I'm just assuming Isshin has some connection to him. It's a little weird that his powers are similar to Ichigo's unless it's something that is normal in only their family (the others don't seem to have it). Similar names and they can both use Getsuga Tenshou, not to mention being ridiculously strong. No one else in SS seems to know about him either so.
I wonder if Isshin is one of the royal guard then.

I was under the impression the Royal Guard was selected from SS captains though.

Well he wears a tattered Captain's Haori on his left shoulder so it's entirely possible :x

I don't think he's over 1000 years old though, Yamamoto should know who Ichigo and Isshin actually are if he's younger since that's how long Yamamoto has been the Captain Commander.

Yeah, that's the only thing that really stumps that theory :x
I love it when story arcs like that come together; what significance Isshin has, and the allusion to the King... but the thing with Bleach is that it never follows through on them, and if it does at the end, it had so much build up that most people forgot about it.
Isshin is an ex captain, never was said in which division he was though.

He's much older than 1000, Its just the Gotei 13 was founded 1000 years ago, and Yamamoto has apparently always been the Captain Commander (According to Bleach Wiki)
So, If Isshin was a captain at any point in the Gotei 13, Yamamoto should know. If it turns out Isshin is a Royal guard, there's always a chance his "Existence" would be wiped from the memories of those he knew so he could secretly protect the king without anyone knowing who he was/his powers.
Wouldn't explain how Urahara knows (of) him, But it would explain why no one else seems to know who he is, yet he has the clothing of a Captain, and was said to once be a captain?
He probably met Urahara after he left his position or at least after Urahara left SS and told him everything.
