Jos and I had the same idea of posting a video I guess XD

Less then masterful but it should work, only really dangerous part is that explosion AoE but if you block it it's not so bad.

You need to keep an eye on her naked body while you hit her, when she leans forward you can run away in time.

Also >_>

If you shoot an arrow at her body its 100% stun <_<

I was having fun shooting arrows at her on my rng build >.>

So I just spent 30 minutes pathetically attempting to kill a black knight in the corridor in Undead Asylum... Needless to say, I eventually dragged him to the courtyard and was able to smack him around and kill him with very little issue. I need to get it out of my head that I can kill stuff in corridors. I think I try to kill myself 10 times before actually thinking straight.

Even if you never lean how to party or backstabbing you can fight things in small corridors no problem. That was the first black knight I killed actually, just forcing him to attack, back up slightly and attack at the end if his attack round

Yeah no, using the black knight sword, he'd hit me at the end of my attack, even with 1 R1 swing.

Tried with my lolDrake sword and did 40 damage a hit, still wasn't dodging much of his attacks. Out in the open I coaxed him into a shield swing and thrust, which I just strafed to the left and punished him ion his shield side.

That's what I did :| with both >_> I still died a lot to them lol.

PSN is doing maintenance :( so if you want to wait till it's over we can try Quelaag.
Thanks for the videos :O, I might actually try to just go in two-handed Drake Sword >_> and hope it kills her in a few hits.
(I'll try it out when Arcusias is ready :o)

Nice video ina. You block way too much though man, it Kills stamina and with a shield like that you're stuck healing a lot I bet.
Everyone blocks too much when they start out playing. I find that you don't learn how to evade until later unless you're use to that play style before you started playing.

I generally am ok with taking blows straight to the face or evading. Never much cared for shields, still don't. Fat roll versus Sif is rather fun too.

I'm sorry, I have class tonight. TT_TT I didn't make it out to the first Blighttown fire yet, but I can get on at 9pm and run through as quickly as possible if it's not too far in there. @.@ I get out of class at 9 and I can just leave the Undead Asylum for the time being. Don't feel like fighting the boss there lol

Also, does anyone bother parrying with their shield or mastered how? I can never get the timing right. I keep thinking to catch the impact with the opening animation of the parry, but I'm starting to think I have to let it connect with the shield before I press L2.

lol I don't think you can summon in the Undead Asylum, but it's worth figuring out.

I'll hop on when I get home and run out to Blighttown. I think there might be a shortcut to the lowest bonfire, I'll try taking that.

I was talking about the Blighttown boss :o but now I am kinda interested in knowing if you can summon someone for the Asylum boss ._.

I started a "Parry Or Die" build last night. Not allowing myself to equip any shields at all, ever, only a Parrying Knife in my left hand. Managed to get past Anor Londo and killed Seath so far - stopped at Artorias because it was getting late (Chester is an *** without a shield equipped, thanks trees).

It's a hell of a lot of fun and it really takes you out of your comfort zone at first. You take sooooo many little things for granted when you have shield!

I prefer to hit and roll instead of relying on the shield.

Yea me too for the most part but I found myself still using a shield for little things like blocking arrows, darts, dogs (especially Capra Demon dogs), Hydras, multiple enemies and low on HP etc. It really amps up the risk when you take a shield out the equation entirely.

Yup, a shield is more of a security blanket. It's a totally new experience to not have one equipped at all though! Honestly, try it, most people don't realize how much they use it subconsciously. It's not really hard, just a new dynamic to the game. I'm getting bored lol.

I always 2H Arty anyway with Grass Crest on my back - almost every boss actually. It just makes normal mobs a bit more challenging not having a shield to hide behind.
