Priscilla's Dagger is only bad if you try using it like a Rapier, Bandit Knife or Dark Silver Tracer; back stab fishing and parrying.

Daggers are deceptively hard to parry because of how fast they swing and Priscilla's unique R2 move set makes this even more difficult once you learn how to chain it with R1 attacks too. It's bleed damage is ridiculous. I need to start carrying one offhand more often to deal with turtles. Tis amazing.

It's even better at lower level caps because heavy armor (higher bleed resistance) is harder to wear without fat rolling due to less stat points to pump into endurance.

As for the Katana's. Iato and Uchigatana tie at second place (Move set preference being the only difference), however you use them. As far as efficiency goes, that is.

Plain: Chaos Blade > Uchi/Iato > Washing Pole
Buffed: Washing Pole > Uchi/Iato > Chaos Blade

Astora's Straight sword in Valley of the Drakes is a good starting weapon if you have the master key to get it that is.

Yeah I was looking at that weapon on the wiki. However, I started with the Old Witch's Ring. :/

Story wise, I just opened the way to Blighttown and got my *** kicked by those things that jump on you and eat your face.

Not sure where to go to level.
The lowest level possible to wield your black knight's sword is 16 as a warrior, 18 as most other jobs. what level are you now?

You can level the area by the first bonfire in undead burg up to low 20s by quickly killing the 5-6 undead warriors directly before it.

TBH if he doesn't like being left open the black knight sword isn't right for him.
The RT/R2 attack attack on that is so slow and even the basic RB/R1 attacks are slow.
If speed is what he's after side sword and dex builds sound perfect.

Firelink shrine graveyard worked well for me. Grab 2 skellies and one big one and lead them off the cliff for quick exp. Just be sure to do the upper cliff just incase you fall off too so you can get your body and exp back without aggro.

The Depths, Combustion, and farm the crap out of the slimes after the first bonfire. Faster, and gives you large/green shards.

Most efficient PvE soul farming I had found was to kill off Gwendolyn, set the warp spell, drop off the balcony, run down and kill the two vigilantes at the bottom of the stairs, warp and repeat. I don't remember how many souls it is but it was more than anywhere else.

Too many people to quote so I'll just try to address any one that responded toward anything I said.

I'm level 29 at the moment and only have around 17 str and 14 dex. I'm playing a knight and focusing heavily on tank build. I read on a few sites that I should prioritize Vitality and Endurance with Strength or Dexterity coming in third (usually strength). I'm still fairly new to the game (only had it three days) so I'm not sure if I'm "doing it right".

I've only rung the first bell and have just opened the way to Blighttown before I started looking for a place to grind souls (after getting my face eaten off and got shot with a toxic dart when I didn't have any way to cure it at the time).

Was in the catacombs earlier and managed to farm up quite a few souls but lost them. Then tried New Londo Ruins and was doing well until I ran out of transient curses (ran out as I happened upon my first shreaking/lightning enchanted ghost). :/

Level up your Pyromancy Flame pretty high and just use Firestorm or Chaos Storm. Chaos Storm scales with humanity and leaves a pool of lava for extra damage. Then just run up to the group of 13 Phalanx and kill, the majority will die when you know how to place it, each giving you 500 souls for a total of 6,500 souls, then run back to sit at the bonfire and repeat. It's pretty mindless work and is very quick.

Your STR and DEX really should only be leveled if you want to equip a certain weapon. After that focus on getting endurance to 40 and VIT up to where you feel comfortable with your HP (usually pretty high).

If your weapon scales with a stat you can put points into the primary stat, the highest letter grade and/or STR, I usually stop my builds at level 120.

Does Endurance's benefits cap out at 40 or something? Looking to try and get the fastest tumble/movement while wearing medium/heavy armor. Right now I'm like a brick when tumbling (at like 37/54 weight).

You no longer gain any stamina after 40 endurance, so people usually just stop at 40. The only real benefit going past 40 would be to have a higher carry weight and that is kinda a waste with haval's ring. Really only need to go past 40 to reach a certain poise while using heavy weapons / shields.

VIT is just mainly HP and you should aim to have 1500-2000 HP.

You stop gaining stamina after 40, so it's a kind of soft-cap. Your weight capacity continues to increase, but not getting any more stamina really hurts the justification of leveling END further.

Ahh, okay. Was just looking up how to get to Havel. Going to need to look up how to get to Darkroot or go buy it from that one guy. Though the last time I was at him, I don't remember seeing a master key for sale.

Oh and he is still at the entrance/door to Blighttown and I've slain the Gaping Dragon. (If you can call that thing a dragon.)

You can only buy the key from him once he moves to Firelink. He moves there once you ring the second bell at the bottom of Blighttown.

Sorry ;; didn't pay much attention to him since his accent annoyed me. He sells special boss armor too later on.

***. Guess all the decent gear is still out of reach then. Just going to go back to the Depths and farm that place for souls so I can actually traverse Blighttown. Need to head back there anyway to get that ring that heals you for 40hp each time you kill an enemy.
