assuming Oolacile catalyst (best for INT between 12 & 26)
198 magic damage from GMW (180 mag adjustment x 1.1)
+50% physical & magical dmg from RTS
+30% damage from Hornet
If the formula is as simple as I am assuming it to be. Your actual damage was around 1005.
~1407 if you cast Power Within.
Still wouldn't have killed me even if I didn't use GMB. Though the damage formula could handle the amplifications in a totally different order/way.
Edit... Oops.. forgot two-hand bonus... 278 dmg on Crystal Straight sword...would only increase damage to around 1600 with Power Within I think.

I accounted for Power Within and the +5 version.
So the INT stat point actually lowers your damage a tiny tiny bit.
For the backstab anyway.

The max magic resist I could get in gear would be around 253 I think.

With my stats added in it would be about 498 magic resist. (Using magic defense ring).
If I threw on the Speckled ring, it would go up to around 523.
This assumes I'm not using Crest Shield.

That, the maiden skirt, and Hollow Soldier Waistcloth have some of the best stat:weight ratios in the game.
Man, the matchmaking in Dark Souls is next level.

If I want to maintain fast roll, I can't wear any higher amount of poise, or I'd have to give up my main weapon/shield combos.
I'm literally .1 away from being mid-roll in my actual setup.
More poise would be less defense.. more defense would be less poise/mr. More damage would be less roll speed.

Defense is what is keeping me alive against you.
My poise is at 77. Which is the tier for zwei/claymore class weapons iirc.
All FaP ring allows is maybe 1 or 2 other weapons that don't really increase my damage.
Actually full Havels is less defense than my 3/4 Giants + Big Hat combo. It's also heavier.

The magic damage I face is usually a combination of Homing Crystal Soulmass, Pursuers, Wrath of the Gods (a ***ton), and various enchantments.
The most damaging/annoying by far is the Wrath of the Gods spam and enchanted weapons. Majority of them I just say *** dodging because I can kill them before they kill me. So instead of using Crest shield, I just wear the Big Hat for a nice MR boost.
