Dark Souls & Other Souls-Likes

Well I play on PC, but I don't use Windows Live, so I always play offline, and I doubt I'd be any good at pvp :/

I had to pause for a sec... guess I haven't played for so long lol.

I said it like that on purpose lol, ring of favour and protection.


Maybe after I beat this ng+, and can make some other weapons I want, and level up some more stats. Thinking I should work on int and faith, only 18/25 right now.

Someone say PvP on PC? Level 330ish and an almost complete level 2 reporting in.

Should probably spend all my souls on my 330ish to finish out my levels. Can probably get to around 400-450.

For gear suggestions/optimization, you can use something like this.

Character planner. You can set criteria for the type of resistances you want down to exact values.

Oh and I have materials of plenty if anyone on PC is short of something. I have ran out of a use for just about every material in the game so I do nothing but collect them.

Only 7? I have more than that again already lol. I really should buckle down and just finish out the Knight's Honor achievement. I have all the materials/weapons/souls to do so, but just haven't taken the time to do it.

You can farm them you know?

Every Unique/Rare weapon in the game. Basically all dragon weapons, soul weapons, etc. You can google it and find the full list.

I never have too bad of luck with farming the Darkwraiths. Usually get at least 3 by the 100th kill. Sometimes less, but not often.

Jesus christ those people were terribad. Horrible armor choices and weapons.

Funny to watch though.

Can't believe they would attempt such a slow windup attack when you were already within rolling distance of them. That screams backstab.

If I'm using anything besides claymore, uchigatana, or washing pole; I'm dicking around and you know this. :P

I rarely ever 2-hand anything too, since I can just 1-hand it. My favorite move with the Zweihander is the step back > charge light attack, since it not only dodges a normal range attack; it also executes quickly with a distance closer. IIRC anyway. Been awhile since I equipped it.

i can't seem to get my ps3 controller to work for this game :S

tried motion in joy, xpadder and even tried to do manual xbox 360 controller stuff.

i give up >o

I just plugged in my wired 360 controller and all was good to go. So I'm not much help. xD

I used motion joy and set it to read it as an Xbox controller and that worked, didn't work when set to PS3 controller.

it only half works >.>;

i can move with left stick, right stick doesn't work. only square registers anything and l2/r2

fml lol


edit- not the controller, works 100% on my ps3 lol.

I think i'm just going to try a reinstall, and hope that works :S


edit- so sad, game looks *** fantastic with dsfix running lol, just wish i could play now >o

Unless you majorly dislike the 360 controller you could just buy a wired one. They are fairly cheap now.

In my opinion the layout of the 360 controller does better for Dark Souls than the PS3 controller, and this is coming from someone that loves the PS3 controller.

ok so after some tweaking i got it to be somewhat playable, changed settings in Motion in joy to emulate ps2 controller. all buttons work correctly except the left analog does not work :S

edit- i lied both sticks don't work lol -.-;



edit2- I have a plethora of wireless 360 controllers, atm i'm super broke so i was trying to avoid buying anything if possible lol.

edit3- ok so.... i found ye olde ps2 controller i used to play ffxi with back in the day, plugged it in and hoyl, christmas miracle it works 100%

till i get ingame and my character keeps running to the right without me hitting right, and i suddenly remember why i retired that controller.

usb wireless adapter for xbox 360 controller, i have like 4 working 360 controllers (2 from my 360 which i traded in a few years ago, and 2 from my dads 360) my dad just bought an xbone, so i think he's done with 360 controllers for now anyways D:

Did you try hitting it or smacking it against something. That always seemed to unstick the stuck joysticks on my older controllers.
