100 * .03 = 3

3 * 3 = 9

109

97 * .02 = 1.94

1.94 * 2 = 3.88

112.88

95 * .17 = 16.15

129.03

1.2903

No truncating.

100 * .01 = 1

1 * 3 = 3

103

99 * .02 = 1.98

1.98 * 2 = 3.96

103 + 3.96 = 106.96

97 * .17 = 16.49

106.96 + 16.49 = 123.45

1.2345

Translates to +.12903 and +.12345. .12345 gets +.1

At what point does 112.88 + 16.15 = 129.0402

.03*3+(1-.03)*.02*2+(1-.03)*(1-.02)*.17 = .290402

Where did you get this method of calculation from? It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Nvm reread it, still not making sense to me though. Ugly math, etc., I'm not seeing the point behind the way you're adding in the chance of occurrence.

Because you're not counting QA twice, QA devalues both TA and DA.

.03*3+(1-.03)*.02*2+(1-.03)*(1-.02)*.17 = .290402

.03*3 = QA

(1-.03)*.02*2 = TA

(1-.03)*(1-.02)*.17 = DA

Now add it up.

I'm counting them all twice. That's the point of doubling the http://fTP. I'm not subtracting QA before multiplying it, I'm taking the entire thing and multiplying it by 2. I'm taking the average number of hits + the average number of additional hits from multiattack, and multiplying it by 2. I'm removing nothing.

Then I'm not understanding what you're saying, as I've accounted for devaluing and transferring all of the multiattacks to both hits.

We're on divergent paths here. I'm not entirely sure where 1QA = .03 fTP is coming from.

(.469068 + .1 = .569068)
1 QA is .03 FTP because 1 QA is +3 hits. 1 QA is 1.03 average hits per round.

even your own numbers are wrong.

.2903*2=.5806
.2345*2+.1 = .569

.5806+2.1375+.19375 = 3.14935
.569+2.1375+.19375 = 2.90025

Why are you multiplying those numbers twice? .2903 and .2345 are already the two hit version of the average.

.12345 = 1%QA/2%TA/17%DA

.12903 = 3%QA/2%TA/17%DA

.2469 = 1%QA/2%TA/17%DAx2

.25806 = 3%QA/2%TA/17%DAx2

.12345 and .12903 are the numbers for the first hit. Introducing the second hit multiplies that number by two. You don't multiply by two and then multiply by two again, that would be implying that DA/TA/QA can proc twice per hit.

if your average hits per round is 1.2903, then your average ftp is .2903, now, you double that because it's a two hit WS.

And now I see what I was doing. I moved the decimal over to the left instead of dropping the 1. I'm surprised you didn't catch it before I did.

Meh, depends on the purpose of your maths. In this case it doesn't, but severely overvaluing attack is a pretty massive error in other circumstances. I can give you a spreadsheet that calculates pDIF for you so you don't have to bother with doing it yourself.
