I think cuz Cerberus' AoEs hit ppl outside of alliance like KB's Meteor etc. In that case I guess if he hits you with an AoE you're on the hate list somehow?

Naw, getting hit with a true AoE doesn't put you on the hate list, you have to have taken an action on the mob or someone on the hate list. Even initial aggro doesn't put you on the hate list. Like I said, it might be a glitch, but I know that instances are dodgy when it comes to hate. Some things are ally hate, others are zone hate, etc. I don't know if that affects learning spells, though. Assimilator Bazubands - +11% chance to learn blue magic
Assimilator Shalwar - +10 magical base damage w/ Burst Affinity Assimilator Charuqs - +20 physical base damage w/ Chain Affinity from JPwiki, they got their information from magazines. hands just as useless as I always assumed, legs are also pretty bad. feet we already knew about Valefor.Prothescar said: » from JPwiki, they got their information from magazines. Adds another 1% to Hasso.
Hm. I guess either the original testing/formula was flawed or they're broken. :[

I've been wearing AF hands while the mob is readying it and also at moment of death. Sigh... I learned gates of hades watching someone solo cerberus on BST. I don't know if it was a glitch, but I always thought you had to have claim on the mob when it died. But, instances are a different animal, I think you just have to have taken action on the mob at some point and witnessed it readying the move. I had someone kill a Beastman for Dart, I was max exp distance never hit the mob and got the spell. you do not need hate on a mob to learn the spell. Sylph.Nikia said: » Cerberus.Conagh said: » Sylph.Nikia said: » Was told recently that Mavi Kavuk +2 isnt worth macroing in but with the new feet would it then be? would be +40 dmg right? .... Assim feet have reasonable stats, and my testing is showing +20 DMG, Doctorugh also posted some data on BG wiki that shows as +20 Damage. Mavi has NOTHING other than the Base D, these have Base D and STR+8 DEX +15 Next best option is either Iuitl or Manibozho which are again similar, STR +10 dex+19 (Iuitl) or STR+10 Dex+8 (Mani) The only major factor would be Accuracy from manibozho would factor in more heavily with Spells with low Accuracy like Heavy Strike, or sinlge hit spells. Or if you were fighting High end content. But yes, Assim. Charuqs are the best piece 95% of the time. With reference to the Mavi Hat, its 20D vs the bonuses of Whirlpool, which beat the base 20 D by a considerably margin and would still continue to do so with Assim. Charuqs. EDIT** This is because they stack but do not Augment each other (so its not +20D x 1.2 or w.e it would just be +40 D vs +20 D and STR+24 DEX +20 Agi+20 VIT+22 etc). Whirlpool still wins. We will need to see how the 115 versions work on CA though for a conclusive account. I would assume it would still be exactly the same. I didnt think to use whirlpool for head, been using Uk'cap, you mention 95% of the time AF Feet I also assume you mean even with CA down for STR spells? Thanks There are better options than Assimilator Charuqs if you're not using CA, but that should be abvious when you look at the stats needed for the spell, and the stats available. So, it seems that the only actual requirements to learn blue spells is to be in EXP range when it dies and it has to have readied the move at some point, not necessarily in your presence. I wonder if they changed the requirements at some point or if it's always been that way. It has always been this way I learned blood saber from ghouls in Gusgen Mines while a friend was getting their skull, I never left the zone entrance and still learned it despite the person killing skeletons being way out of range.
Well this sword looks interesting:
I love the style. Perfect off hand with Buramenk'ah I supose ^^

I'm hoping the feet having Burst not chain affinity on them is a mistake
well, BLU sure got treated well with this update
Yay sanguine blade
So how does Almace i119 compare to Buramenk'ah and Anahera? I know the damage is a bit lower but does ODD do anything to make it compare?
No, because Chant du Cygne did not age well.

119 Almace was just an offhand unless your just using CDC (which is not very often) or you can build 300 tp before the start of a fight or you do Voidwatch. Maybe it will still be a better offhand than this new sword in some situations but I think the new sword will probably win most of the time.
You work on crying, I'll work on beating the ***out of things with an Ark Angel weapon. We can both do our part.
I like the AA weapons. It's an awesome model that I've waited nearly my entire play time to actually use in serious play rather than a lv 1 999 delay pos. So I am thrilled about that. Was just really hoping all the work I'd put in to Almace would have been worth it. I mean we wear two weapons, I'd like to have both!
The lack of chant's utility is also a downer. Req doesn't look bad or anything. I just have a special affinity for flaming "Z"s. Though I still use it on certain mobs where req damage seems oddly low. I didn't even bother upgrading my Twashtar! Empyreans really got the worst end of the deal.
Wow two new magic damage weapons, +200 now or more we can reach. Interesting!
Tourbillion may have been fixed, 2 for 2 on a land outside of adoulin. 1:30 and 1min durations. Barbed crescent isn't landing.
Phoenix.Dramatica said: » Tourbillion may have been fixed, 2 for 2 on a land outside of adoulin. 1:30 and 1min durations. Barbed crescent isn't landing. those are both resists, just not full ones Going through the new gear and preparing an update for the guide, have some good news/bad news:
Good news: Espial set is pretty boss for CDC. It comes within 0.8% of a mix and match set with delve, skirmish, and WKR gear at nearly max buffs/debuffs on a delve boss (yes, really) and slowly comes out ahead by around 1.5% on fodder with no buffs/debuffs except for Nat. Meditation and Dia II. So if you don't have perfect augments on Iuitl, like pretty much everyone, then this is great news. Bad news: Inventory space god damn it Going to be doing a bit of a restructure on the Equipment section as well. Legacy sets are going to be removed and replaced with new tiered sets. There will be three tiers, in most cases, with a fourth set illustrating all of the max accuracy pieces per slot that can be swapped in if accuracy is required. |
