Shun probably isn't that far ahead of Jin with the new weapons. If I were someone who cared, I would take a look as to how the WS damages compare using a spreadsheet and use that to make my decision.

Possible to learn blue magic from WoE? I've seen spells a lot, but haven't gotten a single one in here yet.

I can't be sure as I had all my spells before WoE and I've never heard anyone trying to learn there, but if you can, it will be like a besieged I bet, where you or your ally needs to land the kill. What are you trying to learn?

Missing a few HNM spells still; Tourbillion, Pyric Bulwark, and Bilgestorm. I got kill on a couple of mobs that used Tourbillion but no such luck.

Pardon my asking, but, is the new Delve TP set worth gearing for without Miodo Gloves? I'm not too keen on plunking 5 mil on them. Without them I'd be 1% less haste.

They're really really nice, but you could go for one of the other 4% haste options, drop a partial % or simply sell your nom nom mitts for them.

Could use Tiercel Necklace instead if you want to get that extra 1% haste. You'd miss out on 2% DA and chunk of attack though.

unsure of how many pairs you'd like to go through but dusk can also be augmented with acc up to 5 or(and?) a bit of str for an inbetween between dusk +1 and thamaus/thur

i vote sell but considering how gearing jobs is getting more intricate every update it's not necessarily a bad idea to hold onto them considering how the best sets for every job has been adjusted every month due to the influx of new gear; however I still say sell since it would be a PITA to get your money back on a large investment as I'm sure there's an update to release a better set of tp hands =/

Also I have a particular question to ask for the savvy. Benthic Typhoon can be cast on two foes at the same time directly the opposite of you but does only the animation have the conal effect or does both sides?

Ie

-----------------Mob------------------
-----------------You------------------
-----------------Mob------------------

is there a conal effect on both mobs ends?

Dream Flower in my experience seems height HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE if you cast on say a corse nm to sleep charmed players it never reaches, however the same seems true for actinic burst.

Gaze Attacks only require the mob to face you to work you don't have to face the mob. Is Mortal Ray any different or do you really have to swap outside swords to land the Doom effect?

For Benthic:

-----------------MobA------------------
-----------------You-------------------
-----------------MobB------------------
-----------------MobC------------------
-----------------MobD------------------

Situation1: If you face MobA and cast on MobA it will only hit Mob A.

Situation 2: If you face mob A and cast on mob B, it will hit mob MobA, MobB, MobC and MobD.

Situation 3: If you face MobB and cast on MobB, it will hit MobB,MobC,MobD.

Situation 4: If you face MobB and cast on Mob A, it will hit MobB, MobC, MobD and MobA.

At least this is how I remember it.

Pretty certain that Situation 2 is wrong. It only does conal in the direction you are facing. But in addition will also hit whatever mob you are targeting regardless of what side of it you're on. Fairly sure all conal spells are this way.

Sorry I should have clarified my example was to make sure people were following before my question.

where would the conal effect apply?

It's simple to answer, really. No need for diagrams. If you aren't facing the monster(s), you'll only hit the target that you're targeting, not any other near it/behind it/in front of it/whatever. The cone only applies to targets directly in front of you.

So if you cast Benthic Typhoon on Typhoid Maggie standing behind you and she has 3 mandragoras standing behind her, you'll only hit Maggie. But if you have 3 mandragoras in front of you, you'll hit Maggie and all 3 mandragoras.

I would but I make assumptions like thinking that SE will actually make them better than the other weapons.

You may as well just sit on them until the update hits. If all is well, then you can upgrade, if not, you can sell them. Granted, pending how many weapons are useful or not, the price may drop a decent bit from people planning to do the same but with few people farming them to sell and Duardabla being amazing regardless of what the update holds, they will go back up due to lack of supply and you should be able to sell them for a premium based on rarity alone.

This is the Gloves' hierarchy I'm getting on spreadsheet, considering the current tp set, so 21% haste without hands:

Miodio> Nomkhapa> Enif> Alucinor> Dusk+1

This is on Delve fodder, on higher mobs I'm gettin Enif on top, a little ahead of Thurandaut and Taumas.

I am wondering, is there a video with BLU soloing Dymamis.
I'd like to see how ppl managing their MP, which is the biggest concern I have, which holds me from trying.
I'm doing Dynamis on BST but I don't like that pet is out of control when I got a link and attacking whichever mob it wants.
Also the downside is that sometimes pet kills mob before I proc.
Of course I can use Fight/Heel over nad over, but it is annoying.
The "real" soloing is the best when You can just turn around and try to proc witout waste of mob.

Use more chant and melee and less spells. If you're having trouble staying alive, toss in some more eva gear and stun. Having a sleep for links or even purposely pulling more helps. Prothescar has a good spell set and if you have the TH sash, you can get TH2 on every mob.

Honestly, just try it, it isn't going to be really hard, but it is a different type of soloing than bst. Extensions can be "harder" but you just walk up to a mob, 1 or 2 shot it and pop spectral and run off.

A major mp saver is killing quick and sticking with heavy strike and delta thrust as your main spell damage.

Having a nice Sanguine Blade set also helps mitigate the need to use magic fruit. I use it when a CDC would be wasteful but getting a heal is also needed.

Don't forget MP statues can fill u back up. But really keep battery charge going and don't waste spells very little mp is needed to solo efficiently and load MP drainkiss in dynamis the magic casting beastmen can keep ya going easily. I sub dnc set th and use a sash to proc on steps blu does destroy the biggest cost is a bad pull and having to keep em all slept for a good while. The fun of mp drainkiss Magic burst on a caster <3...

When you use Tarutaru Sash for TH, do you hit once then put it away? Or are you keeping it on during the whole run? Curious how to make the best use of that Sash.

Only tag mobs with it. Though since you have to proc them, and steps don't really benefit from any gear really, you can macro it in to those and then you won't forget to tag them.

You do not full time it. Ever.
