Are you using Gearswap? Mote's has a nice panic button for -DT that'll swap even during WS animation.
Grand Fall is a breath attack, so you want as much pure -DT in your set as you can get. I'm able to eat it w/ around 31% -DT w/o setting any defensive buffs at all outside of Cocoon. I'm using Ulmia for Scherzo and Yoran-Oran for cure skin, tho.
I don't use Gearswap at the moment, only macros. So I may look into switching to Gearswap, since that would solve my current dilemma. I'll also try using Ulmia and see if the Scherzo helps a bit, thanks for the help.

Absolutely they do. Thank Altana we got that monster correlation, though.
In seriousness, AF+3 body is superb, Shamash is fantastic for anybody who doesn't have HQ Amalric, and Ilabrat is quite nice. We didn't make out like RUN, but we got some pretty nice stuff.

Shamash is really good within its niche. PDT-10, high INT/MND/meva, refresh+3, resist silence+90, even surprisingly high defense. It's an amazing defensive/idle piece. Beating NQ Amalric for nuking is icing on the cake.
edit: Looking at it again, the meva's high enough to match/beat perfect Helios Jacket augments.

Assuming I'm reading Funkworkz's data properly, there's a VE-VD slider for Omen, so I'd be willing to bet drops work like HTBF. Ridiculously low chance to get something on VE but basically anyone can do it, high or guaranteed chance to get something on VD but you have to be an apex predator to win.

But giving other jobs better gear choices wont close the gap, this is a lazy fix.

Probably going to depend on if your Crit Hit is capped from Dex. It may turn out that you end up dropping Epona's ring for it instead.
Looking at the AF I think Hands, Body, and Feet look like they are worth upgrading. Not sure pants are worth Bursting with. Helm might be ok if you don't have a good herc helm made for nuking.

The whole Empy+3 set is going to be a very nice Meva set for Blu if the pattern holds (+20 to each piece).
Head~95 33int 33mnd
Body~106 42int 40mnd
Hands~57 29int 50mnd
Legs~132 44int 38mnd
Feet~127 39int 27mnd
In fact Empy+3 set will probably just be a nice set all together...relic looks like it is going to suck donkey balls.

Well, the +4 skill from the body does give you more room to work with if you really want that 600 skill tier. Leaving you with options of leaving out the augmented earrings, or just one Stikini +1 ring.

Relic set is probably going to add some nice skill pieces for us, at least. Would be amazing to see a boost to the diffusion duration from the feet, as well. Probably our new best fast cast body, too.

I think it is a safe bet that none of the augments on Relic will get boosted, but that doesn't mean they can't add it as another stat to the piece as a static value. Hoping they might throw some DT on one of those pieces with Accuracy.

I think we can expect roughly +4 skill on each piece of gear, and that is probably not enough of a boost to hit 600 AND have a respectable recast timer on Occultation unless you DW garbage swords to cover the remaining gap.

Helm might be ok if you don't have a good herc helm made for nuking. 10 MBD is a lot for BLU. It's probably worth using when combined with the BA bonus, though I'm still annoyed by the lack of MAB. Pants are also BIS for magic debuffs. Head's one redeeming feature is that it has the best overall combination of INT/macc/MAB, but BLU doesn't often nuke in situations where macc is an issue and Herc/Amalric/Jhakri beat it for everything else aside from MONSTER CORRELATION. Will probably upgrade along the lines of body>hands>legs>feet>head.
I'm betting that most of the AF2 and AF3 upgrades will have a place as well. AF2 body, legs, and feet will all easily find homes in certain sets, while the head and hands will probably pick up new stats. AF3 should all find some sort of niche pretty easily.
The gains in utility sets look to be pretty interesting going forward. New physical spell gear in multiple slots (AF body/AF3 legs/AF2 feet, along with AF feet/AF3 head/maybe AF2 body for CA), new physical debuff gear in at least two slots (AF3 body/AF2 legs), new macc gear in 1-2 slots (AF legs/AF3 feet?), new nuking gear in at least two slots (AF3 hands/feet should at least rival NQ Amalric and will likely have further situational appeal; AF2 legs might also compete with NQ Amalric and will certainly offer more macc), plus the various gains in miscellaneous stats such as blue magic skill, fast cast, and recast reduction.
Melee gear's harder to anticipate since our AF isn't really built around that, but with the AF body picking up WSD+10% I figure we'll likely get at least one piece of interest per set in that area.

On release, the various versions of the AF2 body have always been one the best TP bodies when considered against contemporaries. I would anticipate it being a likely candidate for that purpose once again.

On release, the various versions of the AF2 body have always been one the best TP bodies when considered against contemporaries. I would anticipate it being a likely candidate for that purpose once again. Yes, with the caveat that said appeal has historically derived (mostly) from two stats: accuracy and refresh. I could very easily see it getting ~60 accuracy alongside 42 DEX, but I wouldn't count on secondary stats to rival Adhemar or Herculean.
Then again, several AF bodies picked up notable TP-related stats this update. RNG and DRG got 8 STP; THF got 4 TA. Even a crit or critdmg augment wouldn't be terrible, since that could make it one of our better CDC bodies. It's entirely possible that it'll be better than I'd dare to hope for.
By tyalangan 2016-12-17 20:38:19
I would like to preface my request with the fact that I understand everything is situational but I am having a hard time understanding what the spreadsheet is telling me. Wanted to see with limited information if someone could maybe give me insight as to why the spreadsheet would be displaying this information:
Adhemar Gloves: 4DEX, 6STP more than Herculean Gloves
Herculean Gloves: 1STR, 37ATK, 12ACC, 1TA more than Adhemar Gloves
I've had those Herculean Gloves in my TP set for ages because I had no doubt in my mind they were better for DPS. However, I was just messing with the spreadsheet and saw that it's saying Adhemar is 20~ DPS more than Herc. How?
Is that measly 6STP putting me over a threshold? And is the spreadsheet saying that threshold is greater than 40 atk and triple attack? I would have thought TA and 40 ATK would trump a Rajas Ring anyday...
Anyway, when I see things like this can I trust the spreadsheet in the future?
