Guttler, emp axe sux. 2 pet pdt axes and 1-2 pet MDB axes. If u dont want to get relic str axe is the next best thing with capped ruinator.

Skip empy if you're not planning on taking it past 90. A lvl 99 str astolfo has better stats than the 90 Farsha with only a fraction of the time invested to make one.

2 pet pdt axes are standard for bst so you can start there. You can do a lot of the trials the same time so finishing them won't take too long.

Pet pdt axes, emps and relic axes are for dynamis farmers. Mdt axes are really good too for gil farming on abyssea

Ok so I have been really putting alot of work/time into bst since I hit lvl 99 2 weeks ago almost done with 2xPDT axe if weather would pop in Mount Zhayolm >< anyways are the MAG DEF axe really good? Is it worth the effort to make 2 of them or just 1 cause axe trials are easy.

They are worth it if you fight anything magic related, as simple as that.

So just see what you plan on doing often/at all and see if you'll need anything to mitigate magic damage taken by your pet.

I would say that they are as useful as PDT in general for whoever goes outside Dynamis.

If your plan is to Stay in abyssea than pdt axes will work good. I think MDT is waste of time unless you going to make a lot of axes. PDT will be used more so if only 2 make PDT if you want to make 4 MDT

Outside of Abyssea I suggest STR axe (either for you or your pet) and the double attack axe. The double attack axe is by far has more BASE damage than str axe and the ws damage will be good.

So overall if you are only doing 2 axes double attack and str axe would be my choice. In abyssea you got atmas and I rarley ever need PDT or MDT.

MDEF axes are just ok. I can't think of anything that magically becomes soloable just by using them that couldn't have been soloable already using -pdt.

Yeah I'm curious what you guys are using MDT axes on? Inside abyssea I can't imagine it having any use, so maybe You're talking about outside? What target and what pet?

so two -pdt and or +eva would be best for dyna farming?

if I were making a str axe (screwed up on a few trials etc) should I use the pet att+ or the regular att+?

same with the double attack one?

(which I'll be looking into later, gah another axe...)

from what I understand the double attack path isn't really that great for like any weapon type lol. And i'd go with regular STR+ att+ for you. Helps with ruinator and falcorr is already badass strong and has fantod

if youre doing dreamlands, the mobs hit for practically nothing, str axe with player +attack would be best with ruinator

i dont think theres a pet:da axe ;o

str axe base s 74 damage
Double attack axe base is 78 damage

To me its not even a contest. 4 more base dmg you will see better ruinators and on top of that 11 double attack so you will ws more often.

With food and dawn muslims i wouldnt worry about pet related axes OUTSIDE abyssea. Its time to focus on you .

I assure you that you will pawn... Get the relic plus 2 pants also gives you like 10 percent hase for your pet under 2 hr which is perfect for dynamis runs.

PDT or eva are completely useless in Dynamis.

Get a STR Axe before anything else as suggested above and a multi hit offhand such as OAT, OA4 or a Ridill. Or you can go with a second STR or a DA+ Axe as offhand. Personnal choice here, to be honest.
The STR Axe is the one with stats for yourself, not the pet. The pet should be happy enough with "pet: haste" gear, in Dyna.

I personally picked a multi hit offhand over any other Axe for the simple reason that 20TP per round on average is priceless.

Off handing str axe is fail when the DA axe has more base dmge
