I was never a Beastie Boys fan, but this gentleman along with his two cohorts were extremely talented and brilliant. The music industry just got a little less brilliant, today.

Aww really? I was listening to this when I was young because of my brother. It was really weird having him listen to any form of rap, but he had the right idea listening to them!

D: D: Sad day! Paul Revere was always my favorite song by them!

My brother was how I jumped on board too! My parents really didn't care for rap of any kind, unfortunately. So, it wasn't until they just gave in.

"Paul Revere" is definitely one of my faves too! That and "Brass Monkey" were college karaoke night jams!

God I remember being in like the 8th grade and Brass Monkey would just break out randomly across the lunch room until the majority of the place were screaming "That funky monkey" at the top of their lungs.

Can't say I'm a Beastie Boy fan, I like a couple of the songs they have done but not hugely my thing.

Despite that though, it's sucky to have someone die at such a young age. Cancer is such a **** disease to get.
