You are naive if you think that Japanese people don't like English players because they don't want to take the time to put things in English or auto translate. They don't like you because you are not Japanese.

I think Ragnarok has the problem of a huge EU population, many of whom can't utter a single coherent English sentence. The JPs are well aware of this and even if they attempted to communicate in EN, it turns into a blind leading the blind scenario which I'm sure would be mutually detested.

If the servers were strictly JP/NA I think we'd see a difference, but when you throw in people who don't even speak EN it falls apart.

Man sylow, i should move over there :x The jp here (esp. since the remora merge) are just terrible. They can't stun anything and do the weirdest strats you've ever seen :X I mean, it's obviously not all the jp on levi, but it's pretty bad imo..

and yes I read all kanji and most of the hiragana words :x

The one thing I do love about the jp pts though is they clear the box in 5 seconds. FIVE seconds. I'm usually the last one to get to the box b/c I'm running from the back. NA though....oh god ;;

Long time ago before gold chest update, I joined a Pil /shout, I was the only outsider in the pt, at the end of the fight someone didn't clear items in gold chest, and ppl automatically point finger at outsider, despite I already cleared.




Another B.rex pt I made, I invited 2 JPs to ally, rest all NA players, one JP kept talk ***of outsiders in /p chat(why did you join then - -), such as "Outsider melees can't pop temp item fast enough" "Outsider pt proc slow" "Those outsiders probably lied about their elemental magic skill level"(capped elemental magic skill level is required for mage burn Rex), then when Rex 2hr he's the first one who died w

Also, this thread about getting emotional about been rejected by JP players over the years is getting extremely sad and old..

It's really just the culture thing, both sides often have biased generalization towards the other side.

I don't get why there is more biased relations between na and jp's then there is with other countries :/

I don't have good experiences with JP at all. I have been able to join their groups if they needed a specific job that people barely play like COR, otherwise they just ignore.

i used to have a huge collage filled with ss's with jps seacoms and responses with "I'm Sorry jp only" "JP only" "english no thanks japanese only" "Japanese PT only" and a lot more , but i lost it.

Probably nowhere near as bad as 14 because 14 came out at relatively the same time for everyone, unlike 11. Also lol @ the guy in Afania's PT saying "why can you read it (JP)." I join JP groups often but I never throw around any English. I need to throw in some random English sentence midway through the run and watch people ***bricks.

Most likely because the culture difference between usa and japan is much bigger than usa and any european country.

On my server they'll tell you flat out.

Most French I see around Carby are afk in Jeuno. Never really got to play with them. Along the lines of JP players, I never really had a problem with them. I don't speak Japanese or anything, but I did end up making a few JP friends who can speak a bit of English. ^^ They're pretty helpful too. At least that's my experience with them. I've heard horror stories from other NA/EU people on the server. Then again they're the kind of people I have to interact with in small doses. @_@

I have had both good and bad expericenes with JP players. I guess just like everyone else. But I have seen some JP only shouts. Did not think that was cool but oh well. They pay there fee just like everyone else.
