| | | Mar. 26, 2012 23:00 [PDT] From: FINAL FANTASY XI | | Current Known Issues with the Version Update (Mar. 26) | | | | We have identified the following issues after the version update that took place on Mar. 26, 2012.
- An issue wherein pressing the button for the opposite direction your character is running in order to cancel Autorun will not work if the button is pressed for a long time. (Windows)
* Keys bound to the ON/OFF toggle for Autorun will still function normally.
- An issue wherein cancelling /follow on a character using a button other than Autorun (such as pressing the button for the opposite direction as your character is running) will prevent you from using the /follow command thereafter. (Windows)
* If you experience this issue, using the /follow command while executing Autorun will resolve the problem.
We are currently in the process of testing fixes to address these issues.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding. | | | |

I think a rewarding PvP would be a very nice addition. Even adding existing items as rewards to winning teams in ballista would be cool.(Or possibly using ballista points and exchanging them)
Though knowing SE, they'd assume that means we'd want to win Elixirs and Dhalmel Stew.
Urteil would love this....
id like em to implement a dual system. Challenge people any where and if they accept you pvp on the spot... would be amazing

I'd play FFXI again if I even knew what the hell to do anymore. Well when your new or restarting FFXI these days you dont do any missions rank cop or otherwise, dont open a subjob, get on some job you NEVER played before and pay a guy 200k/hr to stand naked in one spot while he kills all the mobs.
You left out the part where you spend the next 8 months grinding skill levels because you can't contribute *** to a meaningful battle after afkburning your jobs up.
takes you 8 months to skill?
Doesn't take me anything because I quit FFXI. After abyssea was over, I realized SE was repackaging the same content with different numbers, and left.
Lol a week tops and that's half assing it every other day or so.
Is sarcasm a strange new concept to people, or are you just that *** dense?
I think the only thing that actually takes 8 months in FFXI is resolving billing issues from changing credit cards.

No, it's not all good, do you realize just how expensive panty-untwisting services cost nowadays?? I'll unleash my fury the only way I know how, USING ALL CAPS ***!!!!!! DOUBLE DOWN WITH CAPS PLUS BOLD!.

By giving me this information, I'm fairly certain you violated at least 3 international arms treaties.

The item Gardyloo Pants is undergoing attribute adjustments and thus cannot be obtained.

The final chapter in the Voidwatch saga was scheduled to be implemented in this update, but has been delayed for a few weeks in order to further balance the battle content.
New Battle System: Legion
Overview
| Legion is a new battle system intended to challenge high-level adventurers in alliances of eighteen to thirty-six combatants. Legion will feature unique battlefields in which combatants will be pitted against legions of formidable high-level notorious monsters (HNMs). Slay as many foes as possible within the thirty-minute time limit to reap a host of exciting rewards! |
Requirements
Participating in Legion
Speak to Saarlan in Rolanberry Fields (J-5) and pay the participation fee of 360,000 gil to receive the “Legion tome page” key item.
*Only one representative from your alliance need possess this key item.
With the key item in your possession, speak to Mayuyu in the same area and choose your desired battlefield and capacity (eighteen or thirty-six combatants). After your selections are confirmed, you will receive a Legion pass.
*As a single Legion pass can transport up to eighteen players, larger groups will receive two passes.
*Legion passes will be valid for five minutes (Earth time) after issuance.
Have your alliance leader trade the issued pass to the Legion Tome to enter the Legion entrance lobby.
Make sure to configure your alliance as desired before trading the pass. Should any members be lower than level 75, your alliance will be refused entry. *For groups larger than eighteen, it will be necessary to trade the extra Legion pass to the leader of your second alliance or party.
From the lobby, examine the Legion Portal or simply wait for the allotted time to elapse. You will be transported to the battlefield to commence the fight!
Spoils of WarEach HNM defeated will yield items and Legion points.
Items will be placed in a treasure pool to be lotted on by all participants.
Loot quality and Legion point rewards will increase the more foes you slay.
Legion points may be redeemed with Saarlan for a variety of rewards.
Legion-related terms and phrases have been added to the Glossary of Game Terms.
