I want to start working on getting my BST into tip top shape.

Can someone plz post some good item sets so I can see what type of builds i should strive for?

My bst is 99(ty abyssea) but i have no gear for him except some +1 EMP armor.

My goal is NM farming in abyssea.

Advice and Item sets links appreciated ty!

Depends on what you're doing. Full out dd I use rr/vv/apoc. Pet tanking normal nms rr/vv/dg. Pet tanking harder nms rr/dg/mc. This works well for me. Oh and an eva atma if tanking with dipper or falcorr and eva isn't capped for w/e reason.

I'm no BST, but I imagine this thread & the spreadsheet about solos could be helpful.

Also, this thread, though it may be several months old, could be a nice place to start ? I assume it's still relevant since you really have nothing for yourself besides +1.

Double-Also, atma thread D: to add onto what Galbir said, if needed.

ok now that i have had time to play with my beast.

What I am looking for is a Pet: -PDT/buff set I believe.

My current 'goal' gear is as follows

Astolfo x2
Anwig Salade w/ pet: haste/-pdt
Mirke Wardecores w/ pet: att/dbl att/crit
Ferine Necklace
Centaurus earring
Brutal Earring
Ferine Hands
Uthulams ring
Rajas ring
Ferine Mantle
Twilight Belt
Ferine Quijotes
Monster Gaiters

Any advice on how to make this set better.

What i am basically looking for is a set to kind of 'perma fight' in. Letting my pet do most the work.. I will expand to the stuff Hsyingi talked about later, but this one gearset will work for the time being.

The suppanomimi and the Epona's are useless for my build( they boost me not my pet)

The Moepapa stone actually looks pretty good. I will get that instead of Twilight belt.

My updated build is as follows

Astolfo x2
Anwig Salade w/ pet: haste/-pdt
Mirke Wardecores w/ pet: att/dbl att/crit
Ferine Necklace
Centaurus earring
Brutal Earring
Ferine Hands
Uthulams ring
Rajas ring
Ferine Mantle
Moepapa Stone
Ferine Quijotes
Monster Gaiters

if you want pet buffing rings/earrings go spam the ACP fights

You can get earrings w/ 5 pet def x2, 5 pet attack x2, or 5 pet eva x 2.

There are rings w/ pet acc buffs as well.

So I posted My 'goal' .

Btw my current 'actual' gear consists of full aurore and Trial 344 Skegi, and basic choopper. I am working on the Skegi after I finish 344 I will get next trial and then take my chopper to 344.

My plan is to basically go Left to Right, Top to bottom.

Main, Sub, Ammo(this is just my pet so its easy^^) Head, Neck, Ear, Ear, Body, Hand, Ring, Ring, Back, Waist, Leg, Feet.

not sure why anyone thinks khimaira bonnet is all that great.

khimaira bonnet & bison warbonnet give exactly the same -10s recast

brave's warbonnet & stout bonnet give 15s

zoraal ja's axe if you want to cap reward + %
Pallas shield is another option if you have sheild but don't want to swap axe. you can get to 48% that way.

thats because there was a difference at 75 cap and it was crafted/signed by a friend....

and the reason i dont use the reward axe is to get the benefit of using 2 magian axes and not lose tp. i have 2 zoraal axes and a pallas shield in storage collecting dust. ive never died or lost a nm or anything because i didnt have an extra 7% on reward.

Doesn't boost, unless new augment does. They get rid of status effects when you use reward. AF/Relic both do different effects.

So looking at those Acp items, they don't seem to be THAT good. Are they worth all the effort to get them?

imo not really unless you get lucky with the augments on the first or 2ed try with abyssea in mind at least.
