Club for Blunt is extremely strong in Odyssey segment farming.
Axe has Niche uses like buffed Cloudsplitter or using Mistrel's 15 yard range.

Is it just crank the difficulty on intense and burn the seals on that, pretty much? just need to figure out how to use gearswap again, find my lua's, and start the painful journey of relearning all the blue spells. I just hope not having a pocket idris and rema brd isn't going to be a big deal lol edit: is there an updated blu spell/build guide. I doubt there's been no update to blu since 2017 and I'd appreciate if anyone spared me the time of having to search through hundreds of pages of info. If any of you were going to solo Provenance Watcher, say on a pre-M Lvl job, which job would you pick and why?
What would be your approach? (I'm stuck at work and can't try things atm) kuroki said: » war, naegling for savage boss and sanguine the light aligned fetters as needed Same general idea but RDM because this isn't a well geared attempt and war sanguins won't do *** Plus cures and nukes to keep trust alive and kill fetters I've tried it solo with all sorts on trust combos it just doesn't go well lol. I always have to resort to two boxing a melee like mnk/nin/dnc and bringing a mage to destroy fetters. (this is in basic 119 without access to 90% of the trusts like Selh'teus) Blazed1979 said: » is there an updated blu spell/build guide. Then I tried like once on BLU because of AoE stuff and selfbuffs, but that didn't go well either, I almost won! Problem is the pain of farming the KI to enter btw. I remember one of those Caturae being super annoying with the Terror sight-based aura. Can you buy the PW key items for like 300k or am I imagining things?
You can but people generally forget lol
And it's a lot of crour. That's a mil, that's not something you just have as someone that needs a prov win. Offline
Also, does the periapt of exploration drop rate suck balls on Provenance Watcher, even with lights campaign?

Beguiling radiance drops the KI you're looking for. Not hard to obtain during campaign, but the encounter can drag out because caturae doing those things. You might end up getting procs anyway. gistofanything said: » Between WHM GEO and RDM first job, whm is gonna be the easiest to gear right? IMO the order you listed them here is easiest to hardest. WHM and GEO are easier because allies don't resist heals and buffs, but you might struggle without gear to land debuffs on GEO/RDM. If you're interested in nuking then you'll be adding more gear for damage and bursting too. Offline

It's been ages now, but I remember it being fairly quick work. It may have just been luck, but I do think I was trying to proc them. I solo so trying to proc to break up the gaze/shield shenanigans was probably in my head. You must proc anything at least once (possible once each caturae) to get the KIs, even during campaign
I got that KI you're talking about last petrifact farm runs I did.
The Caturae aren't all that bad with displacers, but since this char hasn't beaten Rhapsodies yet due to recording reasons for my LP, it's 100k gil per fight (so 400k gil to do all Caturae and Prov). Not a lot by today's standards, but it is adding up. Worst thing about them is the Shah Mat gaze with doom. If you don't turn in time, you hope that your Trusts' Cursna spam keeps peeling it so your trusts kill it. After that it's the Tabiyaa Gambit shield, which drops pretty much instantly if you've got the damage type it doesn't cover. However, there seems to be some sort of issue with it solo/trusts where you just won't have every type of damage because it gets hyper specific, like separating blunt damage into Hand to Hand Blunt, Club Blunt, and Staff Blunt. Good news is, is even without proc it eventually wears off after an eternity. Kinda sad. My first go was on WAR in Bayld gear, and I got Prov Watch to 4 wings, so under 30%. But multiple doom fetters in a row saw all of my trusts die to doom except Apururu, so I was SOL. I fought on for a long time with Sanguine Blade, but without good sets, I couldn't keep the fetters down. I read you could silence PW somewhere, so I got BLU and and most of the spells and went in. Silent Storm did jack ***, and then my spell casts sets were too slow and weak. Like 2111 on a thunder fetter with Spectral Floe. Then a doom fetter happened again while I was casting, and due to log spam, but the time I started running out of it, it was too late. Just imagine how it was back in the day with shout groups, they did make some good fights occasionally. A lot of people underestimate those NMs, but things like PW, AV and prov watcher can still mess you up if you aren't prepared. You can requiescat the shields so you can save wings for it. PW can't be silenced from what I remember but requiescat should work on the fetters too.

Is there any trust that has high frequency of WSs and isnt affected by players TP? Im playing SMN and I would like to syncronize my BPs with trusts WS, but if using to Ayame or Zeid, they will be affected by players and not pet situation. Thanks Ragnarok.Vargasfinio

Pantafernando said: » Sup Is there any trust that has high frequency of WSs and isnt affected by players TP? Thanks Zeid II will Ground Strike constantly on anything and gains like 400 ~ 600 TP per swing. As long as he can hit the target reliably you will see the WS a lot. Bonus points for Stun on TP moves (when he feels like it...) He'll ws as fast as possible, only to close a skillchain, otherwise he'll hold to 3000. Has a 4 hit built (~250) better than the damn samurais and da's often enough
Still by far the fastest melee trust, but important detail. Turdzen II has 4 hit bow and does only Namas Arrow with no wait. Very good for an opener if your pact chains with namas. (you have to have 1k tp though) Those are some nice ideas.
Yeah, Zeid is my favorite DD, but his tendency to close skillchains is kinda a let down (if you hit harder than him). Groundstrike properties are awesome for most endgame WS Quick question before I toss then but...
After getting enough spirits (antlion and pachypodium), any reason to keeping the golden seed pouch and m. beetle saliva? Haven't played for years, glad to see the "Migrating to the Windows Version" blurb is still there waiting for me on the game start screen.
I'd like to catch up to speed solo - what class is the easiest to bootstrap these days? Offline

If you dont mind the spell hunting aspect BLU is still a pretty nice all-rounded job to get yourself caught up with
That sounds good - I had almost all the spells (missing 6) back in the day. That was before Adoulin so I'm definitely behind. I wouldn't have thought of it as a good solo class though. Where do I get started on the latest gear?

Depends where you are starting from, but sparks gear if you are 99 and then move to 119 Bayld gear as soon as you get to Adoulin and generate some Bayld.
After that it becomes the AF/Relic/Empy +/1/2/3 grind. Ragnarok.Primex

has anyone covered job/Subjob tier lists following the increase of SJ caps, due to MLs?
