Oh hey, neat.
Is it just specific ones and pets just are screwed if they get hit with max HP down etc.?

Beast Jackcoat 58 Removes Paralyze, Poison, Blind

Monster Jackcoat 72 Removes Weight, Slow, Silence

Admittedly there's limited use in them with only 6 effects that can be removed...

Silence too! Don't want your pet unable to growl at mobs!

:|

At least AF body has more use. If it wasn't so easy to get the relic body, I probably wouldn't have even bothered.

I ran to the store, Laffter hit it on the head.

that being said, HP down in that fight isn't really all that scary because you have plenty of time to reward, as you're only taking dmg from TP moves, & magic. (any dmg. that matters anyway)

Forgot about the HP down thing, but I guess I wouldn't call that 'One-shotting pets' at that point.

agreed.

I'll let you guys know what I find out, my duo partner is finally off work for a bit, & I wanted a little back up in case things get shitty.
I'll know more tonight.

NQ got rolled like a burrito last night. by duo buddeh was along, but it's probably solo-able. I'll let you guys know if I get a HQ pop.

Might come across as a rookie question but is it possible to re-obtain the moonshade earring, if so how?
Am I able to drop it and obtain another, or do I need to do the fight again?
I got refresh on mine and I'm starting to regret it, looking to getting the TP bonus one.

Drop the earring and go to the pond in Grauberg to re-obtain the KI for the last fight. You'll be put at the mission "Maiden of the dusk" and will also have to redo all cutscenes after the fight to eventually reobtain the earring with new augments.

How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie-roll center of a TootsiePop? And by that I mean dead tonberries and max bonus from Everyone's Grudge gear.

Just popped a Rancorous Mantle from chest and per EG damage I have about ~415 since last time i reset hate.

I'm pretty sure it was like 200, so you should be good.

Does anyone have a game mechanics guide they found helped them make the jump to "getting it"? I learned a lot of the basics from wikia and this guide but I'm hoping for something that maybe cites some examples/threshholds. Sorry if I'm wording this question poorly.

Bump.

The wiki page for Black Triple Stars says:

■The placeholder alternates between two IDs, D4 and C0. Both placeholders cannot be alive at the same time.

What does this mean and now can I see which mobs these are?. Thanks in advance!

I haven't participated in Voidwatch yet, and I need something cleared-up for me. My friend said that even if I don't have any clears yet, I can still participate in just about every Voidwatch fight. The clears are only necessary if you want to pop the NM, right? Or do you need the clears to get your stone to work so you can acquire treasure?

Like, if I just saw a shout for a pick-up Qilin (as an example), I could join them and still have a shot at some of the drops?

Yep. But you'll never be able to warp straight to sky (which is fine, cuz only the runners ever get anything from Qilin)

Is it common to be disconnecting at least once an hour by cleaving detector type mobs? Other mob types haven't been a problem but whenever I try these again I'll occasionally have a character disconnect when a bunch of them die.

Yes, Detectors have additional effect: disconnect.

Not sure if it's common but was in a party once on Detectors at Uleg Range. Everything was fine until we got a THF with a WHM dual box that was going to pull and Aeolian Edge everything. Other people started to cleave his monsters as well to kill faster. 3 Pulls in a row multiple d/c from PoL crashing including myself. The last time about 6 or 7 people crashed. We decided to stop that lol.

Back before they "Fixed" the drop rates on King Tiger Hides and Sisyphus Fragment I used to try cleaving for the Items. Whenever we tried to use the detector type mobs we encounter lots of game crashing. It wasn't just PC. It was also Xbox. I'm not sure about PS2. There is something about their dying animation and cleave/edge that locks the game up randomly.

So far it's a 3:1 ratio of d/cing on Detector mobs, starting to seem a little more common <____<
