I have adoulin fame level 2, and I'm 100% certain I've used over 20 imprimatures. However, it was 2 full batches of bloodthread and some reive ones awhile ago, do they have to be different? Was I supposed to be using 1 at a time? Or is something missing off that page =(

It seems the range of imprimaturs we need to use varies largely based on fame. I suppose it's possible that level 2 fame being the minimum still requires a larger amount of used imprimaturs. Keep using 3 imprimaturs per assignment and you'll be there soon enough.

It probably isn't built yet on most servers but it should be at the first area with NPC's when you zone in @ M-7.

Anyone know if retaliation skilling up has been nerfed? ive done a few mandy pulls in altepa and no skill ups at all.

SE announced that you would no longer get weapon skillups via counter attacks or retaliation since they are not connected to your action but the mobs action. I tested it about a dozen times by pulling a bunch of mandies and targetting one behind me. I was able to get skillups via retaliation hits on some occasions and none on others.

It's possible it's been reduced, but it's not gone, I've done it on more than one occasion since people have been saying it was. Actually leveled GS from zero to capped with it.

How do I change the intro music in the game, when it first boots and loads the title screen and character selection? I'm not digging the new SoA intro music. I'd actually like to change it back to what it originally was way back when (Vanadiel March), though I'm not sure where that file lives nor which to replace within all the ROM directories.

Can anyone help out?

Sidenote: Years and years ago, I replaced the chocobo music with the keyboard solo from "Take On Me" on infinite loop. Good times.


EDIT: Found this guide, which says Vanadiel March is basically track #108

Also found this awesome BGW to WAV tool, but it's crashing when I try to use it in the sound6 or sound9 folders.

New question: Anyone know which file is the new SoA intro music file? So I can replace it :)

What is the fastest way to level geomancy skill? Indi spamming on self or would enemy target geo spells be faster?

I'd say 110~ acc. You should have buffs so you can probably put that number down to 70~? My TP set back then with bereaver had about 70 acc and I had capped acc with appropriate buffs.

For MNK, does anyone know what level the Manibozho Brais beat Tenryu Hakama +1 with ws dmg+3%? Already have tenryu from way back when and looking to save some plasm.

Closest reference point I can think of is when they beat Thaumas gear =( (Going off of memory it's around rank 8 )

If the Reive dies too fast, yes. The final evaluation is based on overall contribution, so if the target is destroyed before multiple evaluations can happen, the final reward is low. This will also prevent item drops (like the new JSE capes).

Ugh, is the FFXI install region specific? not just the accounts?
Downloaded the vista\7 POL from EU playonline.com, downloaded XI files from Krizz' website, but the install just asks me to install POL first.
If so, will there be issues using EU account on NA client?

Actually, I still have my old FFXI install on the old harddrive, but that was on another windows-installation.
Is there a way I can access the old registery-keys and just use the old files?
