is anyone else still having trouble with blinkmenot? I've deleted all the bmn files and redownloaded it, it doesn't make me crash or make people change to different races anymore, but I can't get it to do "combat self on" anymore, it says it is, but I still blink while in combat.

EDIT: the only way I've found to stop myself from blinking in combat is to use "always self on"

EDIT #2:

this is the settings in the XML

I've tried using the hex code of 87F

and in the console it displays

Target - Self ON - Follow ON - Party ON - Ally ON - Others ON
Combat - Self ON - Follow ON - Party OFF - Ally OFF - Others OFF
Always - Self OFF - Follow ON - Party OFF - Ally OFF - Others OFF

Just got my Heka's and realized that equipped with Nefer Khat +1 I'm only getting one per tick refresh, was this broken w/ the last update or nerfed? The icons appear to be the same as they've ever been. Any insights?

Think it's broken atm, if you use NQ hat it should go back to 3/tic if I'm remembering right.

Quick question on Salvage. Does the old lvl75 Salvage floors still unlock gear/stats via cells, or was it changed to the same method as the lvl99 Salvage floors? Cheers.

Is SE aware that Toci Harness is glitched : there's a "D6147" in the item description instead of "set: increase critical hit dmg".
Is it only Toci's or did anyone notice another glitch somewhere?

I've been having the same problem since the new BNM was released, I either blink during combat and no other timer, or blink all the time. Can't figure out what the right setting is so it only blinks when not in combat like the old one used to.

If I use "Always - Self ON" then it stops the combat blinking, but also stops blinking when not in combat, and it`ll swap into some random gear that looks like my character got dressed in the dark.

Stupid SE always breaking things when they do updates.

I thought you couldn't loose medals once you finish WoTG missions?

I just lost one right now due to insufficient campaign.

You don't lose medals after you finish WotG, however, you do still need to get evaluated every 30 days. And if you didn't do any campaigning, the NPC will say "You'll lose your medal, yada-yada... However, since you're such a hero yada-yada, you can keep it!"

I need help figuring out this rule in my SAM xml, it won't work so hoping someone can figure it out without me having to start a whole new topic for it.

This is the rule and I keep getting an "error reading end tag" throughout the whole thing. Help D:

<!-- Masamune/Amanomurakumo -->
<if EquipMain="$empyrean|437delay">
<if buffactive="Hasso">
<equip when="engaged|aftercast" set="437_Norm"/>
</if>
<if buffactive="Seigan">
<equip when="engaged|aftercast" set="Seigan"/>
</if>
<if buffnotactive="Hasso|Seigan">
<equip when="engaged|aftercast" set="No_Buff"/>
</if>

Edit: Figured it out.

When you move server, do you like, have to clear ah, save macros, or something? Anything to do before doing it?

Clear AH and delivery box. Those are server specific. Macros go with you, since those are on your local client (or if you save them to the server, they are tied to the content ID.)

If there's not a worm party going, you're going to probably just shout in PJ. I think you'd end up pretty frustrated if you just started sending tells to people.

Guys I need some advice, I can double box dyna with my gf's character, and I'm trying to decide what would be the most effective way to do it. I have BLU/COR/PUP/MNK/THF available to me, with empyrean sword/h2h. And she has THF/DNC/WHM available to her with thokcha99 and exenterator set up. I was thinking the best combo would be either BLU + THF or PUP + THF on DC mobs. With PUP when JA proc time ends on bronzepieces I could stay on those mobs for ws procs as 3 tp pools and automaton abilities would make it easy to proc. Any thoughts on what would be the best duo? I'm also not opposed to leveling another job on my gf's character

Edit- forgot to mention I'm referring to dynamis xD

WS procs are kind of meh, since if you're using decent WS you stand a decent chance of killing the thing before you trigger it. BLU/DNC + THF/DNC is probably going to be your best bet, since:

1) they're already geared and you know how to play them, and
2) you can maintain kill/drop speed with good WS instead of either using crappy ones to trigger, or killing unprocced mobs.

I get where you're coming from, but you do know how ws proc'ing mobs on PUP works right? But yeah you're probably right as blu + thf being the best option.

Just bought a new iMac(2.9ghz one), how well with this support FFXI? Familiar with partitioning and such, so that's no issue, I used to to play on a MacBook Pro.

Also, am I better off sticking with windows 7?
