Just another nuisance. Bro. Da fuq is that picture taking 20 minutes to load ffs. anyone got some tips for doing Actualization Team solo? im struggling.
So the current campaign gives you an auto seal for the first time every day you do an Ambuscade.
Does that stack up with a regular seal? What happens if you do use seal anyway? First time for each difficulty. So do VE E N D and VD
Stacks. You get more points. Quote: Hallmarks and badges of gallantry will yield double the normal amount once per day when participating in each Ambuscade difficulty level. * This bonus stacks with the effects of the Abdhaljs seal item to yield a total of four times the normal amount. It does stack with seal as far as I remember. I'm finding conflicting info on the 200 daily fish fatigue.
Does that prevent you from fishing stuff related to quests? For instance the PLD AF2 quest, which requires you to fish up a monster in Castle Oztroja. If you reached the 200 daily fish fatigue, would that make you unable to complete the quest, or not? There's a zone line in Halvung to Mount Zhayolm that is behind a gate with levers that don't respond "Nothing happens" even though I have the bracelets. I see mobs behind the door towards the zone line. How do you get there?
Use the maps and follow the paths.
A connects to A. B connects to B. 1 In Zhayolm connects to 1 in halvung https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Halvung https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/Mount_Zhayolm Asura.Eiryl said: » Use the maps and follow the paths. I had no clue you could go to that island
(*you can't)
It's an area they never expanded on and/or forgot about. There's nothing there, but there are mobs you can never access, silly devs. Oh how random, they don't usually put mobs in those places. Thanks!

I managed to fish the Odontotyrannus, killed it, obtained the item but now neither Ailbeche nor Zaldon will accept it. I checked both wikis and I honestly am stuck. What could be missing? Anybody experienced that? Was appearently missing a single dialogue line from Exoroche Anybody else's server given up on Limbus? We don't even have 100% matter in 5k chests anymore.
On Asura so far everything is like always, there's still a bunch of people doing stuff.
But the fact that those "monthly activities" are so unrewarding and potentially frustrating is surely a problem in the long run susteinability of the event. The event, to be even remotely considered "decent", requires you that you mantain all those "monthly buffs" up. I.e. kill all the nms every month. If this starts to not happen for several times on too many servers, I'm sure they will take action and change how some things work. They have been doing something for Limbus after all, small fixes here and there, the "Code" update, the floors reduction update. Nowhere near as much as Limbus would need, but it's still something. It's quite clear once enough people start to walk away from the event, things won't work anymore, but yeah I'm confident at that time they will do something about it. The problem is that the reward for killing the NMs is too weak. Actually, I don't even know the reward for killing U/O. What is it?
the reward is that you don't fail to keep the chests upgraded
I think you also get some of that individual data? Lakshmi.Byrth said: » The problem is that the reward for killing the NMs is too weak. Actually, I don't even know the reward for killing U/O. What is it? The "personal reward" they added after some times it's a bar with points that, once full, allows you to open a chest for free, even if you've already reached the 5 times monthly cap. The bar charges up very slowly and you only get "points" if you're in a party/alliance. You get absolutely zero if you're alone, even if you perform several useful contributions for hours. So yeah, like you said, the reward is too low maybe, and the fights can be very very frustrating with some stupid mechanics to deal with. It's hard to balance the reward between "not good enough" and "too good". When it starts to skew slowly towards the latter, next people will complain about the second big problem of this type of event. These fights happen once per month. Even if you literally live inside Limbus, it's not always easy to participate in them even if you want to do it, even if just to experience them once. Whichever perspective you want to look at this whole thing, it's hard to solve it. Let's say their intentions were very good but their game design ideas... not so much alas. The party requirement shouldnt have been added to the central NM's. If you're in there and within 30, you get credit.

The problem is there’s only 1 set of NM, once their killed, their gone, and if your schedule doesn’t line up with the spawn, you’re out of luck, even if your group killed all 44 job nm, both wave 1-2, you show up the next day and somehow omega/AA died but those folks didn’t go thru their NM ladder so to speak. Killing them once should satisfied the server, but each group of players should have their own spawn set of NM (use ki mechanic idk)

I don't see why not go for a simple evaluation system like Besieged or Domain Invasion. Neither is perfect, I'm not saying they should copypaste one of those, I'm saying the system, the idea should've been something like that. Altough honestly I don't know, a content that only happens at unpredictable times once a month, whichever way you want to improve it or make it better, it's still something that happens once per month, quite likely at a time when you're at work, sleeping or unavailable to play FFXI. Which is exactly why they tried to make it so it didn't feel "mandatory" to participate in it, otherwise you would've felt "left out". It was a "right" decision applied to a bad game design choice, imho. It really feels like a waste anyway to have that stuff that could engage people regularly, being used just "once". Why not making something else? I dunno, I'm not a game designer. Still feels they dug themselves a hole from which it's hard to get out. |
