New to DNC, and I saw the thread about Exten mechanics and what not. But wondering about the comparison in these 2 WS. I dont have thf leveled so I dont know much about dagger mechanics. Thanks in advance guys.

lots of threads on this, search dnc & thf forums.

I assume you won't though, so extenerator seems to be pulling ahead as far as I know

I can tell you for THF, as long as you 5/5 Exenterator, it's Exenterator > Evisceration outside Abyssea, and Evisceration > Exenterator inside Abyssea. It's probably the same for DNC.

Unless for some reason you aren't using crit hit rate/dmg atmas inside. Every now and then I'll go poor mans whm with full regain atmas, so when I DD it's exen. But I wouldn't recommend doing that.

I would not be surprised if Evis beat Exen in Voidwatch given Champion's, high overflow rate, and low pDIF. That's the only current exception I can think of though.

Pretty much this, sylow was testing champions in voidwatch and with a decent evis set it pulls ahead of extentorator

if you don't have champions and a good ws set stick with extentorator

edit: it also varies a bit on what your fighting, yadda yadda situational

They aren't much difference. Last time I tried to parse in campaign evis averaged 1730~ and Exen is at max 1800 ish

My excenterator are noticeable higher than evisceration outside of abyssea. Both stacked and unstacked. Inside Evisceration wins. Just as everyone else said. If you're getting a max 1800 then you're doing something wrong because i'm a Taru and I get better results than that.

I've hit almost 5k Exentrators outside of Aby so 1800 is far from its cap, that was with trick attack but still. Seems my average without sneak or trick is 1800-2500.

I love how there's like five different spellings for Exenterator in here.

I agree, Exten. is a higher and even more reliable ws outside more than Evis, even more so with Bully > Sneak attack combined.

DNC or THF damage shouldn't be that big of a difference. Plus I wasn't talking spike damage because I did say 1800-2500, and if you want a AVERAGE average number, the normal for me is 2200 give or take a few.

Normal damage for Exenterator, no extra hits, no stacked, no nothing, is about 2200 damage.

Unless we're playing forum e-peen again, then I can do 99999 with it.

And Exenterator only wins if your pdif is near capped. Otherwise, evisceration still wins.

Evisceration has not even been close to my Exenterators without having capped ddex. It's a lot easier to have near cap pdif than it is to have capped ddex on the majority of content in which thf or dnc dmg is relevant. Possibly if you are using 99 twashtar+Coruscanti, but I'm not seeing it otherwise. Dancing edge was even ahead of my eviscerations on fodder content such as dynamis.

I think capped dDEX is the deal breaker here whether you're going to see Evis will be doing well or not.
Granted, I'm about 18~21 AGI away from optimum Exen set, for now, My Evis damage isn't that much behind of my Exenterator.

Well you're doing something wrong with your Exenterator set then, since I average much higher than 1800 with capped attack.

I have 169 AGI total in my set, x2 47 base damage weapons.

((47+13+(169*.85))*5)*2 = 2036 before averaging out DA and TAs.

Is it worth using exent on dnc compared to rudra/evis combo lol?

You won't have capped attack against PLD and WHM mob in campaign without berserk, and probably have some guarded number against Orc MNK.
You will get better number against NIN SAM DRK RNG WAR BLM mob in campaign. In that case, I see 2k more often from both Evis and Exenterator, with Evis spiking up to 2.5k due to crit and DA/TA and Exen up to 3k due to DA/TA

I have 158 total AGI with this set on DNC/WAR

Not from what i have seen :/ evis/rudra do dark to eachother. And with all the dex i have and my cool evisc set, i feel like exent is better off droped on merits.

Ah well maybe not then. Unless you have other WSs you REALLY want to merit and you REALLY don't want to make a half decent exen set then yeah what ever, but it's really worth it. Plus it looks badass so :P

I'll pretend 100% crit rate for you, just for shits and giggles.

((47+13+(161*.3*.85))*6)*3 = 1818

1818 * 1.22 crit damage = 2219.

Now with 50% crit rate?

((47+13+(161*.3*.85))*6)*2 = 1212

(1212 + 2219)/2 = 1715

And my set has 41% with dDEX capped.

Exenterator is going to be better. And I have no idea how you aren't capping attack in campaign.
