That's nuts! It sounds exactly like what happened to me during soccer when I was slide-tackled by another girl! She caught me right in the knee as I lunged down for the ball. My dad is a "play through the pain" type, so I ended up going to ballet a week later and threw it out again. Since it didn't fully recover, I ripped a few tendons the second time around and had a mass of fluid that made a bulge on the inner part of my knee. MRI, crutches, etc...'Twas a fun half a year.
It still hurts in the winter. I'm pretty sure I'll have arthritis in my right knee at a young age.
As for embarrassing stories, I have about a billion. I think the worst was when I was doing a duet in ballet. My partner dropped me, and I face-planted on stage. I had blood gushing from my mouth and nose, and had to be carried off stage. What made it worse was the fact that I had a huge crush on my partner, and of course...THE AUDIENCE!

I finally got one. Though its not THAT bad... Ok so walking to school one day (this was I think 11th grade). I was holding a social studies project under one arm. It's wintertime and it snowed the day prior. So I'm walking down the sidewalk when I see a big ole puddle that spans a few blocks of the sidewalk. Clearly I didn't want to walk ankle deep in water. I look to the right of the puddle and the grass next to it is pretty wet. To me it looks like it would relatively be the same result. To the left is a lil mound of ice. I figure I can either guarantee myself getting wet by walking in the water, or step on the ice and try to jump past the puddle.. Well I chose the ice, and as my foot touched down on the ice it instantly slipped and I fell right in the big puddle. So not only did I get more wet than the alternatives, I got mud and such on my project. Was not a good day lol.

I was at my aunt's wedding and was the candle lighter. I stepped up to light the candles and the last one wouldn't stay lit leaving me standing there trying to light it until I gave up eventually and just went and sat down. The adults and everyone in the church picked at me about it some.

I dunno what these flowers are called, but they draw bees like crazy and they're all over the place in Texas, including the recess area.. I'd just go stomp on the bees.
