The anime became quite terrible after the first season ended, fillers pretty much destroyed it. I stopped reading the manga after the Aizen arc, it was always stereotypical shounen. There is nothing remarkable about Bleach at all.
i still read it all. though most was a power read because i wasnt interested in it much (some filler) but i still kept up because i really like ichigos character. and i wanted to see how it ended.
I'd skip all the fillers. It'd be much more of an enjoyable experience to watch it from start to finish with no fillers. Just don't be like me. I didn't found out the Bount arc was filler until after I watched it. Q_Q

Fillers are extremely irritating when you are waiting once a week for "THE NEW EPISODE" and it's a filler.
To someone like me, It might be a bit more enjoyable, funny usually since most fillers have some comedy relief from the story line.

I am glad Bleach is ending. Don't get me wrong, I loved it for the longest time. The Soul Society Arc, along with Decisive Battle for Karakura were the best two arcs and I enjoyed them from start to finish. I just feel bummed out that it has to end on such a flat note (Lost substitute shinigami arc). We didn't get to see the Royal Guard or anything like this. They could have used so many more key elements in the plot and they didn't. That's pretty fail if you ask me...
But oh well, 7 years+ is more than long enough for this anime, and it has to end somehow I guess.

Tsuji there's one more arc to go, we can assume with fair certainty that it will involve the King and all the other unsolved stuff.
I won't even try to act like Kubo is the best writer ever. If I wanted to bring up an anime with a good story, I would have to talk about Fullmetal Alchemist, and I mean the real FMA not the first anime.

Ok what he meant by filler isn't what it normally is. filler is normally 1 or 2 episodes inbetween the main story that have nothing to do with it. and yes bleach did have those
but what he/i were referring to are the "filler" which are basically arcs.. that have nothing to do with the main story... seriously like 30 episodes of some side story in between the main story arc. i think there were 2. bounto and Zanpakutou. both were ok to watch. but had nothing to do with the story.
i haven't watched bleach anime since the Zanpakutou arc.. so like 2 years i should probably watch season 14 since it finishes off the Arrancar arc.
and ya the Manga is expected to be around for years still despite it being the "last arc". with the possible 30 volumes that puts it about 75% of length of Bleach to this point...

Bount arc was ok once they got to the soul society but they spent like 50 episodes in real world not doing anything.

i knew there was 3! thats the one with the special weapons. i forget that arcs name. i didnt mind it "Too" much. but i was like.... with that weapon you could beat aizen... his illusions wouldnt work on you! wtf soul society!
There was like 4 fillers. There was the Bount arc, Amagai arc, Zanpakutou arc, and Reigai arc.

The new Arc seems interesting so far. I've enjoyed reading for a few years myself. I don't think I'd be considered a fanboy, I know Kubo has some holes in his story, it's not the BEST of all time, but it's a very good anime imo. Mainstream anything gets hated on all the time so it's normal.
