Ok, I know this is a few pages back, but I've had a rant building up about this anyway.

People need to discipline their children.

My 6 year old has been visiting for a few weeks, and she doesn't listen worth a damn. I don't think her mom ever punishes her. Her mom does this stupid 'don't make me count to 3' thing if she doesn't listen. I tell my daughter once to do something. If she's not immediately moving to do it, I repeat it louder. If that doesn't get her moving then I either make her sit in one spot or send her to her room (which she has nothing to do in. all toys/stuff are in living room).

And I cannot stand how skinny she is. I know I was always a skinny kid, and I'm pretty sure her mom was too. But there's a difference between skinny and skin and bones. Her mom also doesn't make her eat as much. I make her sit in the chair until she's finished her entire plate, and I don't always give her an option on what she wants to eat. (Typically I'll let her decide what she wants for lunch.)

People need to open their eyes, and be more responsible.

I totally agree. I don't mean to compare your child to an animal, but I feel the exact same way about people and pets. Everyone thinks they're *** kids to be played with and doted upon. lol Then they're surprised when they're jumping on people, being possessive, barking randomly and biting ***. lol Annoys me to no end. My dog and I have a very balanced relationship where we can play together and rough-house, but he knows exactly what the extent is and to stop when told to do so.

I know it's not the same, but that's just what comes to mind when I read that.

While you're comparing children with pets, it's basically the same concept. The line has to be drawn between where the play ends and the serious business begins.

I can kinda feel what you're saying about ur child cuz i have the same issue with my daughter. She'll stay the night with her mother and the come home thinking she's the queen of the world. Making DEMANDS on things, no 'please' 'thank you' manners. I really wonder what goes on over there sometimes. But once I make her realize that she's back with me and not gonna get away with that kind of behavior she straightens back up. I just dont understand what goes on with mom to turn her into the brattiest little diva east of the mississippi when she returns.

An excellent question. Was closed before I came on this morning so I didnt even get to pay my forum respects to the Original Charlie's Angel and King of Pop.

I have 6 nieces/nephews (4 nieces, 2 nephews), so even before I had my children I was around them a lot.

Same, kids around since I was a kid myself and ever since. Dogs all my life as well, (lol) but I will say that for awhile I was just as bad with my pets as I'm condemning others of being. It really doesn't strike you until someone points it out, or you just meet a very well-mannered animal and owner pair. That's the suck part.

Totally unrelated, has anyone played Super Robot Taisen OG Saga Endless for the Nintendo DS? I have to say this might be my new most favorite game ever. lol This seriously is destroying any turn-based RPGs I've played so far, I'm actually having fun in every single random encounter. lol If you haven't tried it, I seriously recommend anyone and everyone to. D:

I have my dad's SUV :) He is getting me new tires, fixing my speedometer sensor, checking brakes, doing my emissions test, and he's gonna check my cruise control. He may do the transmission fluid change too since its a bit brownish.

Me! I mind asians. They're great to look at sure but they're all so tiny!! I mean I'm 6'6", I'd rather not date a girl who needs 6 in stillettos to be belly button height.

There are taller asians. Maybe not tall enough for your 6'6, but at least a comfortable height. Being 6'6", I'm sure you have that problem with just about any race of female.
